TURBO TIMER
no point in having thb. apparently, because the header tank is above the turbo and heat rises/convection current, even once you have turned the car off the water in the turbo takes heat from turbo to the header tank.
My sti 5 wagon had one fitted when it was arrived.
Its a Pivot two stage timer

Only use it for defrosting the car etc as I can can leave the car locked with my stop lock in situ.
As for its intended use? Nah just drive off boost for the last few miles. Where i live there is about 2 miles of roads that you can roll along in 5th or 4th at 30 odd mph.
I remember back in the day being told that if the car looked like over heating then drive with you heating turned up full. This was advice given regards an old renault 5 turbo not sure how if it helped then or is relevant now.
