well...she's now on Autotrader...and the price is now reduced to £8,600. This is a cracking car in minty condition. don't be disappointed with the dross out there, come and have a look at a lovely STi!

Andi...where's your advert gone mate? you sold or part-ex'd it?

Default car

looks a nice car but the 6 owners might put a few buyers of.Think it might be better to reduce your ebay price a little.

Good ones are worth the money buddy,
agree on the high owners though..

It the insurance, tax and petrol that has killed off the sports car..

Take your points guys and thanks for the nice comments. However, I think that the condition of the car shows its been looked after properly, probably by enthusiasts such as ourselves. Rather half dozen of them than a single owner who didn't look after it. Regards price...its negotiable like most things in life. I assure once someone comes and sees it, it will speak for itself. Ain't gonna give it away but accept that I have some movement in the price. It really is a cracker this one.

if i were you i would stick to your guns and only look to reduce a little once firm interest comes in. The car is stunning and they should be able to see that.

I actually spoke to the missus the day we had the phone call over mine and said I was going to reduce it by £500. That afternoon i got the call and ended up getting very close to the asking price.

if you can be patient im sure a buyer will emerge, as long as you put ONO on the ad I would be reluctent to reduce further.

Just my opinion tho fella.... and bump for a lovely motor

cheers man. i see yours has now gone...well done! thought i had some firm interest but none of the 3 who rang me bothered after that. disillusioned with this whole selling business. i think it's worth what i have up it for...you only need to look on ebay classified to see cars 2 years older than mine with more miles or at least the same for well over 9k! i have seen one from a dealer up for 11k. cant get my head around the market.

i thought it would have done so by now too. would rather keep it and suffer the fact that i will not drive it often than give it away. from what i have seen elsewhere on the net, i priced it too high to start with but feel at £8200 its really competitive...ah well.

nice looking car.

Did similar to you 6-8 weeks ago. Very similar car although I'd spent on an aftermarket exhaust, intake and remap to 334bhp plus I'd had the wheels done and bumpers resprayed to remove stone chips. Got sick of getting no response to the sale ads so I found a BMW 320Cd at a Jap Performance place, figured they'd offer the best part ex. Got £7800 part exchange value. Garage sold it on for £8k within 2 weeks.

Between getting the part ex offer and actually exchanging the car (3 days) I offered people on scoobynet they part ex price and still nothing. Market is shocking at the moment and it will only get worse since the fuel price will never go back down. On the bright side insurance for males should drop a little since they're levelling womens insurance to be in line with ours.

nearly forgot, keep it...

took 2 weeks before I started missing the power of the scooby. I'm back in the market for another Subaru. **** the cost, it's definitely worth it. diesels are for company cars and old men. an economical petrol would be more cost effective than a pre 2010 diesel.

The sad thing is these cars just won't sell for the price they are worth. High fuel and insurance costs are killing the market and it really is a buyers market now.
You've only got to do a quick search and you'll see just how many are on the market today. Admittedly most won't compare to your car but you need to make your car stand out from the croud. Easiest way to do it, price.
The 6 owners isn't great but I don't think that's an issue (wouldn't scare me away), maybe the colour isn't as liked as the blues or blacks.
I think to sell it you should be advertising it on the bay, autotrader, piston heads and here for £7995. Its gotta shout "look at me" and a 2005 low mile STI at under 8 grand should do it. You probably should be thinking about taking late 7's for it.
That's if you want to sell it.

It will be tuesday before i get my finances in place so just expressing a keen interest at the mo. Just out of interest has it ever been tracked?

Thanks Chris...shocking is spot on tbh mate. however, i know i would miss it when it goes. think youre right about the fuel...we keep paying it cos we need to and the oil companies arent going to start lowering it, crude oil still remains highly priced.

Think the amount of owners may be an issue, however having spoken to two of them i am relieved that they seem to have been as careful as i have with the car. i am sure you are right that i could get high 7k's for it but i would rather enjoy it (rarely) than give it away. Its up for 8.2k now, so i would think that someone would realise their may be some negotiation in that price, although i am definately not going below 8k. not sure about the colour being an issue...i previously had a blue one and was glad to go for something more understated; it will suit some and not others.

thanks Freddy...it is most certainly tidy. i have never used it on the track...not my thing. good luck with your finances! cheers.

just had a squint at ebay classifieds...there's not many on there and most are 9k plus...cheapest 8.5k with a 37k mile one up for...get this...12k at a dealer!!!

still cant help thinking i have got mine priced right for a quick sale...its the market thats depressed.
