Well Alan didn't seem perturbed by my reply and posted back very positively so why do you feel the need to come over all cocky?

Alan's absolutely fine!

Where I'm coming from is about "spirit", which is where PS has lost the argument.
I'd choose a Tiger Moth over a Cessna.
I'd rather have an MG than an MX5.
I have a Lambretta, not a Gilera.
I'd have a Subaru over a Honda.
I could see why someone may have need for a Honda Diesel but not desire.

Excellent point and why I'd rather have a Ferrari over a Porsche... now I am dreaming

Would agree there

That's so wrong - on all levels. You buy a MG if you want to travel courtesy of the AA and RAC!! But, your other judgements aren't too wise either ....

Wrong, yet again, I chose a Honda Diesel with desire ..... it has a Torque figure which you can only dribble over in your sleep and it's a fine place to be on a drive.

I agree 100% ..... you haven't done so well - but a few of your statement have merit, most don't .... just how it is I'm afraid.

A few points.
I have a pilot's licence.
I raced in MG's for decades, and regularly beat much "faster" cars.
You would probably look a dick on anything with two wheels.
My Superchipped X5 D Sport would pull your pi$$ pot up the road backwards.
Fancy a go?

Wrong. This is good for a laugh, unless of course you think everything Subaru can do, Honda do better. The word pathetic springs to mind.

Its you that is wrong, again. The Honda has 340Nm of Torque, an STi has 407Nm. So unless he dreams about less Torque, you are as I say, wrong, again.

Note also you make no reference to any information posted that proves your talking crap. e.g. the Times review which hated the Type R (same car as yours with a petrol engine, so ahs the same crappy seats, ride quality etc)

Love the quote from TH3DOCTOR half way down the civic thread ;http://www.civinfo.com/forum/general...rbo-civic.html
Says it all really.
How sad do you have to be to get banned from a civic forum anyway?
Maybe we should have similar Mods on here,

340Nm of Torque and a 0-60 time of 4 Hours RWYB anyone?

Trying to convert those that cannot be converted. " Secret Honda Agent"

There are a LOT of dummys which have been spat out hereabouts

All I said was that Subaru need to knock more than 2.5% OFF to revive their fortumes!!

Once again, no admission of being incorrect when presented with facts or acknowledgement of any posts which prove you wrong.
Note you make no comment on the pathetic Honda (which is Japanese for better than Subaru in every way) CRV.
If you want to post on here at least bring reasonable comment to the forum, not troll based bullsh!t.

From your post at 1506;

Your Honda has less torque. So why would anyone dribble and dream?

So would I ........... IF Subaru had anything to better a Honda - they haven't!

Look at the video posted earlier and you'll clearly see that Subaru do have something better

I have looked at the video ... it shows an AWD vehicle (the Subaru) performing better than a Traction Controlled Honda on a ramp in a garage setting - what on earth does that prove?? I can drag up videos to show that a Honda delivers more mpg ...... what is 'better' depends upon what you want from a vehicle. I'm not sure how important it is to 99.999% of the population - do people really want to drive up a roller ramp in a tin shack many times during the day

If you feel able to talk about 'real world' driving then I'm all ears.

On the Torque issue ... you 'assumed' what I meant by my comments, you need to read what I say and not hear what you think I said

The word is "suspicion" you illiterate cretin.

I live in a country house, and I like to see tw@ts in Honda Diesels coming when they are out dawdling on Sunday drives with the tweed blanket on their laps. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The X5 gives me the view over the hedges I need to avoid the w@nkers.

Put it this way.
When my brain atrophies, when despite the use of internet pornography I still can't get it up, when my wife in frustration turns to the milkman for comfort, when my sad tired old fingers can't type a decent insult, when I'm so utterly depressed that I can't think for myself, when imagination, free thinking and the love of the best things in life become alien to me, when all I have to look forward to is a long slow painful pant wettingly dribbly decline into misery and the final release, that's when I'll follow your example and buy a Honda diesel.
God knows you must have suffered before you did the same thing.

Alan, I hope you don't mind me calling you Alan? I'm sure you would wish to be addressed as your Lord, Sir, Nobleman or some such title - I'm not sure what your subjects call you?

I detect in your ramblings and your self-proclaimed supreme greatness, a condition which inflicts many when in my precence - a feeling of inadequacy and insecurity. It's not uncommon and there is no need to beat yourself up about it. I don't think I have ever witnessed anyone shout so loudly how great they are - you are certainly on the extreme edge of the condition

By the way - can you Map my Honda so it can pull my Garden Trailer to the Re-Cycle yard?

Yeah, that damned Honda - what has it given me? Over and above my Scooby? Given me trouble on SN, that's what!!

OH, and 55mpg and £110 a year Car tax, and 340Nm of Torque ... that's it really - OH, hold on a minute, it was £14,000 cheaper and is better built, more equipment and a thing of beauty too.

Hmmmm, bummer that
