Thanks to the people that have offered to help from around the Midlands area, its a massive weight off my shoulders knowing people are looking out for it.

It could easily be in London as it was on a Met camera on Wednesday but the Midlands seems like a fair bet.

I have offered a reward on the sites i advertised the car. The reward is for the undamaged return of my car.

I have posted up the spec of the car as some parts were worth a lot of money and they car may be stripped down.

So if any of you scooby owners get offered my bits i want them back.

Wouldnt it be nice to think a car community pulled together and found my car.

I put my phone number on the adverts when i was selling the car and left it up when i said it was stolen. I had a call to say it had been seen somewhere. I dont want to say where as i dont want to alert anyone(trying to be careful) If anyone thinks they might have seen it then please phone the police straight away, then let me know.

Sorry about your Nan and your car

We were burgled a few years back, both cars stolen while we were fast asleep (Impreza and Evo 8). For every person who sympathised with us there would be a ******** implying we were somehow to blame.
"You should have done this..blah...blah...blah", and funnily enough none of them thought to tell us before the event but they were all experts afterwards.

Perfect people, this place is full of them.

Me too, thanks,

I think my biggest fear is getting burgled while i am asleep. I wont even leave a belt on my bedroom floor when i am asleep in case someone got in and used it to strangle me. *looks at the queue*

To get in my house on the side there are 4 doors with locks. Carport is locked, out house is locked, sun room is locked and kitchen door is locked. I felt pretty safe but not now.

I am sticking to that saying, 'what doesnt kill you makes you stronger'.
This year has been a real test so far what with my sons accident and losing my nan so maybe my car is the 3rd and last bad thing, they say it comes in 3's..

Have the rozzers said it's a case of find your car or just write off the £8k it was worth then? Thats a bitter pill to swallow BUT you are ok.

With our situation they came purely for the cars, so we still had a laptop, TV etc, and they didn't trash the house or harm us so it could have been worse (but was still very upsetting obviously).
I know people think it's just a car but it's actually your peace of mind that is stolen along with it

My mobile provider said they are able to tell the police the number that called me to initiate the 'sale'. Then they would be able to reveal the numbers their mobile called when they were at my house etc. They made and recieved a lot of calls. Its sometimes pretty hard to get the mobile providers to co operate in this type of situation but they said they are willing to provide the info but the police have to approach them. I told the police and gave them the contact name but they said that they may not do it bla bla bla.
Its so frustrating as i know that PAYG phones used in crimes are often only used for days or weeks before being binned, so time is an issue.

They have already said that the car was prolly stolen to order and most likely by an organised gang. They said it may also be linked to something similar a few weeks ago. I would have thought that this would be one of those cases that were worth investigating. They even have images of them going through cameras.

I dont know how important this sort of crime is in the big sceme of things. Probably pretty low down so its no wonder people take matters into their own hands. I am not giving up hope just yet.

House insurance should sort the locks/stolen house keys?

Obviously they won't get it done at the weekend though, unless your insurer does a 24hr locksmith service.

I don't think they'll be back, as ths was premeditated; They specifically came for the car and they've got exactly what they wanted. For example a thief doesn't answer a car advert in order to nick a telly.

Sounds familiar. We didn't have ours up for sale but found out that our area had been targetted for a few weeks previously, all luxury or high performance cars (the night they took ours they had tried to steal the neighbour's, I don't think they really wanted my Scoob but while they were there they took it anyway). The police said they knew it was an organised gang and that we would never see the cars again. With what they seemed to know about the gang it's always made me wonder how they couldn't catch them.

If thats the case then you would not bother changing your locks. Personally i would not be so complacent.

Sarah, change the locks for peace of mind! If you haven't already then get e crime number from the police. home/house Insurance should pay for the locks to be changed but you can change them yourself in the mean time and claim it back - with a receipt. Call your house insurers and explain, they may well have a local 24 hour locksmith that can sort you out straight away.

Yes they could sell the keys as scum usually knows and associates with other scum. Not heard of this happening but who's to say it does not. Chances are they know that you will need to change the locks and not bother also your insurance will probably state that the locks must be changed given your circumstances.

I swear this same car was right up my chuff yesterday on the Dudley bypass. Asian driver, definitely not standard as it accelerated towards me and I was giving it some up hill as well!!! obviously probably one of thousands of silver type r s and its probably now in pieces but this thing didn't half pull and had similar sticker in the window!

Cant believe the hate for you on here SS and seemingly all because your a bit of a drama queen?? More importantly though im sorry to here about your nan.

And its exactly that opinion that allows crime to become so blatant. Makes me so angry.

Another thought. If you have had a car stolen from your own driveway that means you have to pay more insurance i would have thought, double whammy!

I might have been a drama queen but i meant no one any harm on here, ever.

No one would congratulate you for winning the lottery in sn, they would rather get a rise out of your misfortune instead. Pretty sad.

I am going to message you as its impotrant...

We didn't notice much of a difference when it came to renewal time to be honest. I know that insurance companies get slated on car forums but I was pleased with how ours was handled (even though OH lost a fair bit on his Evo, he'd only had it six weeks bless him).
I hope you manage to get something sorted with them, good luck.

Thanks everyone.

I am feeling better now there have been 2 sightings and as of yesterday the car seems intact.

If its young lads with my car they wont be able to resist putting their foot down and showing off as the car is stupidly fast.

There is a Honda sun strip on the window screen and it has very dark tints. It may be the same ones driving it that stole it. Oh, and one said his name was Abdul so that narrows it down a bit lol

Why did you advertise that the car wasn't insured.?

I've been looking on some midlands cruise sites and googled.nothing .

Try civic forum , a car like that will crop up one day

I was advertising that the car insurance was due to run out in a few weeks. If i didnt sell it i was going to insure it again and keep it.

In my wimmins mind i hoped that would hurry up the buyers if they knew i wsnt desperate to get rid of it.
The only reason that i didnt sell it sooner was because my son had a crash and my nan died so i was a few days behind.

I changed the advert after it was stolen. It didnt matter by then as the car was already gone

If you look you will see that i am not advertising the car.

Now every idiot on SN has my phone number now.

If they wanted your number it wouldn't take long to find if they wanted to when you're advertised on piston heads

But not everyone is so keen to try and make me look like a fool.

I wonder how many snetters saw my car for sale advertised in the Civic section... Now anyone can see it.
Do you not think i have been through enough without you stirring it every opportunity you get.

Just accept whats happened without looking for cracks.
