pistonheads forums
PH is a heavily moderated, sanitised, forum with group of moderators who see fit to ban people who don't conform to liberal-left political ideals.
Needless to say I was banned.
It seems like a nice place at first - but like many interweb communities - when you see its true colours (banning people for no fair reason other than politics) it's a ugly place.

Not a popular view it would seem but hey that's how free speech is supposed to work.
I got banned from Final Gear too, for pointing out the stupidity of their voting and discussion threads which are diluted and ruined by sycophants whom appear after every episode of Top Gear saying it was 'the best ever' and giving it 10/10, no matter how boring and awful an episode it had been. I used what I considered perfectly justified logic in reasoning that maybe the Polar Special and Veyron race could be 10's, with many average episodes occupying the 4-8 range, but for the system to be valid there must be some 1's and 2's for weeks when they drop the ball. Some on there have never scored it less than a 9 no matter how bad ! I pointed out that we were supposed to be voting how good each episode was in relation to their best and worst to give fair appraisal, not rating it against Lorraine Kelly and Jeremy Kyle. I was accused of denying people their right to opinion and thus denied my right to an opinion. Viper, you're a cvnt !

My thoughts exactly. PH level of banter, quality of 'shops and knowledge of financial markets is quite impressive. The traffic is massive: Their Climategate thread runs to hundreds of pages rather than hundreds of characters. When major events happen, pages get added to threads in minutes - the LondonRiots thread was closed at 500pages to protect the Db and a second one started.
Not as 'cosy' as Snet of course...

Searched a few old threads on it but never registered, i have been meaning too since i got rid of the Subaru about 2.5 years ago
It is such a chore "starting" on a new forum though, i can not be arsed tbh.
