Clive,

Can we get a full set of rules posted aswell,i was in standard class, but i have an anti lift kit fitted and arb's,i would of thought that they are 'basic' mods?I dont have aftermarket springs or shocks,or coilovers.
I dont want to be in the wrong class, and if a by some miracle i framed,i dont want to rob someone out of the silverware

Stu,

Rules are not my domain mate, pop over on to the 22b thread if you want to input. Plenty of people say they are not good enough but no one is suggesting any solutions !

For me you are modified fwiw.

This is meant to be a 'fun' event so I do hope we don't get to tied up with the rules tbh.

It's a case of economics...

I am a petrol-head but I don't have the money to fix it if it broke.

Then I'd be cycling to work for rmonths.

So "Yes !" I would love to have a go. But "No thanks !" too expensive if it goes all pear-shaped.

Just my input.

dunx

P.S. Wouldn't miss it for the world

I understand some peoples point of view but there are too many polishers out there who talk about how quick their car is !

This event is a short sprint (5 x 40 seconds) which puts very little stress on the car, drag is more brutal but you don't have to do all parts of the event.

Where's all the track day boys/girls ? Too scared of a little friendly competition ? I started these sprint just 2 years ago after doing a few track days and it has led to much bigger things but I am in the minority.

So come and have a go guys, we are a very friendly bunch

Here and 22b mate, whenever I have posted on other forums there has been next to no interest, shocking !

Perhaps we should all sell up and buy Evo's, the MLR gang really get involved and have some great events during the year. Luckily they invite us to a good few now.

Clive - Perhaps your should rename the events as "Street Racing" - this may generate more interest! Afterall, there are so "many technical turned advisors" who simply are too busy writing up on here then showing what they can do with their cars!

Considering the amount of high powered cars that are being made these days I am very very surprised at the lack of interest. I am definitely going to be running though, and I believe that my Dad may run his WRX too.

Clive,
how about inviting MLR next, before it is opened up to everyone, then we could have a scooby/evo comp?

As good as an idea as that sounds, the MLR boys are actually up for using their cars properly. So we would probably have more of them in attendance!

Not if they were limited to the same number as us,we have 30 so far!

It was only an idea, just thinking of ways to get more taking part,it could still be called sso,as we are challenging the evo boys

Mine needs a polish, but it's losing it's motor next month, due to trackday abuse, so I will be running-in mine about SSO time...

I'm sure you could run it in in plenty time I'm sure alot of big builds have smallish miles for running in periods and it seems to make no difference. Makes no difference to mine

Just noticed Bigarfs name isn't on the list! I hope he is running as someone needs to have last place
