thats pretty much the give away to which model it is,,,, at least as far as r or ra, as said no such thing as r ra.

 

also how can it be a fresh import, when it was imported in 09 and has been to shows?

Thought the ra-r was on the hawkeye and hatch models

Anyhow fud it looks mint and if it's close still worth a trip to see it

Also theres a nice v6 type r on pistonheads running 450 odd and a nice white type r with a 2.3 conversion in it, think they are both members on here will try and dig the links out for you

Version 5 TypeR Vltd with a Version 6 P1 rear spoiler. (Its not a Ver6 car.) Though £7,295 is not a bad price IMO if car is as good as described.

The V in the title refers to 5 as in roman numerals!! This is where the confusion comes from. Before the version 5 they were known a V-Limited but from version 5 just Limited. But then Subaru decided to use a V instead of a five just to really confuse people

When they changed from v limited i always thought they were wrc limiteds.

 

They was on the v6 only iirc

 

Im pretty sure it was the WRC Limited's that had the Blue centre console surround, blue speedo surround and matching blue seats.

 

My plaque says WRC 555 Limited (with an STI and a Type RA in there as well (can't remember the exact order)). I think they were just given this title on the plaques.

I'm pretty sure it was the V6's that had the blue surrounds.

Subaru did make this confusing..

 

No blue bits in mine Jay. Blue gear **** is an after-market (not the fabled titanium one) and the seats are from an STI Blob so have blue bits on them.

It is very confusing!!

 

I thought yours had the blue bits....fairone....shows how much notice i take Tim...

 

The V in "V-Limited" is short for "Victory" and is a limited model to celebrate winning something

Not associated with the Letter "V" for 5.

If they didn't win anything and brought out a limited edition then it was just a "limited"

The word 'Baileys' is enough to put me off.

 

My reckoning is its just a version 5 type r thats had the roof vent added post factory.

 

At the end of the day it looks sweet and worth every penny. If I had the money I would buy it in a second

Great looking car though, far too expensive considering whats available for that sort of money now.

Correct V6 WRC has the blue surrounds on the consoul & dash.

 

The two front seats should be blue ...

The version 5 Type R Limited didn't have the blue seats, however the RA Limited & STI RA of the same batch did.

None of the V5 Limiteds had the blue dash surround only the V6.

The V5 Type R was limited in production upto June 3rd not to 1000 units as the V6 Type R Limited was.

If you look in the sales brochure link I posted, you will see that Subaru refer to it as:

WRX Type R STI Version V Limited - In this case the V does stand for 5!

A Version 6 would be:

WRX Type R STI Version VI Limited

But a Version 4 would be:

WRX Type R STI Version IV V-Limited (Your Victory bit??)
