Well let's just say it can not have been an accident..... these are members of the Royal Family and normally wouldn;t be anywhere near anything like this..... it just doesn't add up to me.
The political gain for the governemnt vs. the students of having them attack Charles and Camilla's car is huge.... makes you wonder.

What's wrong with you man? Stop thinking further than an immediate step

Crazy when you think of it, i would actually like to see severe punishments brought down on those responsible, you just can not attack your own royal family, madness.
Imagine what would have happened in the olden days

IMHO - It is the trouble makers rent-a-mob the anarchists the people who are always in the thick of any trouble and claim to support any cause that allows them to act like thugs and commit mindless violence.
The students will end up with the loss of credibility, blame, stigma and loose support from normal people and after it is all over the scum-bag trouble makers will move onto something else laughing all the way!

I'd go as far as to say I loath the Royal family and I'm an active member of Republic. However, this has nothing to do with the Royal family and to attack another human being like that is just not acceptable.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour .I would suggest most of the ******* were nothing to do with law abiding student groups who wanted a peaceful protest .
Whoever is in charge of Royal protection wants his **** kicking .They must have been in contact with the Police and knew what was going on and should have been nowhere near the trouble ,yet they drove them straight into it .
Shows this country in a very sad state .

Although this is totally unacceptable, I would like to know what the hell their security detail were thinking by letting them drive through that mess.
I would be looking for a good sacking!

Why isnt ther future Kind of England driven around in an armoured car ?
OR had the police deliberately let the protesters get close to the royal family to aid their cause against the fight of budget cuts.
If a bunch of pretestors can get that close to the senior royal family what could an organised terriost organisaion do ?
Maybe a few different agendas happening here or just incredibly bad planning / communication by all parties?

I think the royal protection detail did a good job and here's why: Whilst there are plenty headlines and pictures of yobs getting close to the car, how much real damage was done? A broken window, some paint over the car and shocked occupants. If the paint had been a petrol bomb then we would more likely be talking about the perpetrators being shot in the street by the bodyguards.

I do feel that Charles does have a propensity to go rubber neck and probably wanted to see what all the fuss was about, he just got a little too close to the action this time. Their security would have known that Regent St was full of protestors so why deviate from their more secure route which would have taken them away from the protest via back routes. Still just goes to show what these demonstrators are capable of.

The vehicle was clearly equipped to withstand an attack, so I don't think they were in immediate danger, although keeping the windows open was a bit of a worry.
Refreshing to see the didn't just cancel the trip due to the "danger".

There was not a more secure route already planned, this was the right route based on size of roads etc. Face facts, that RR would have flattened plenty of students had the driver seen the need to flee. Now that would have been funny lol.

Despite the fact the they were in the area of the protest which was not a good idea, there is no excuse for the behaviour of those lawless hooligans for attacking someone who has nothing to do with the governmental decision anyway.

I would have no problem with the courts charging those thugs with Treason so that we can see them executed.
Surely this wouldn't be much of a reach as those yobs were trying to cause harm to the Queens son!
