Hes a case, quite the character! They have no kids so he gets spoilt rotten. He likes chewing my shoes when I visit though

Paulwrxboro's dog is like my son's dog called Jaque. SBTs have humble face IMO, but their muscular bodies are somewhat frightening to me. They seem as if they'd kick your head in! Jaque is just a gentle cutie, though.
If you look at a Staff head on I think they look like sharks, especially when they have their mouths open

Lovely dogs, I've got an English Bulldog 'Bruce', not sure why so many of you use cages though. Don't see the need personally.
Bruce has the whole downstairs and back garden to do as he pleases.
He's trained not to go upstairs and he knows it. Not a cage in sight.

We found the cage very useful for the first 6 months. Our Boxer knew it as 'home'. When we could not take her with us she would go in of her own accord when we put our shoes on.
She now, at 5 years old regards it as her room. If she wants some p&q she will retire to it.

She has had the run of the place for the last 4 years and is well versed in where she can and can't be. The origional idea was to remove her 'room' after an initial period, but she uses it for her needs, so it remains in place. I can't remember the last time the door was closed.

Imho, they are a very good training aid.

As b13bat says its his own space. Its where he sleeps and rests. He goes in there of his own accord. He is also placed in there of a night with the command "bed" he then knows its time to settle down for the night. Also my kids know that when hes in there hes not to be disturbed. The door is never closed on mine either......

When he is toilet trained (getting there) he will be able to go anywhere on the ground floor.
Hes already learnt the "sit" command

They are lovely dogs.

We looked at re-homing a few Bullies but was virtually impossible as we have kids and cats (all the Bullies we saw didn't pass the 'cat' test) and this went aginst us at the rescues. Its why we went for a pup on the end, he will grow up with kids and cats.....
I filled in the form on bullies in need and they never even acknowleged my application, even with a reminder e-mail
