I really don't condone a mugging, but it does have to be said that this is KARMA.

He really should not have said what he did about Button. Those comments were really low. He only said them to keep the image of F1 nice and clean, and to heck with the victims.

Maybe now he will think again before he says such silly thinks about others.

Looking at the pictures he's taken a good smack to the face, they must be well hard to hit a four foot eighty year old bloke f.f.s.
Bernie also says its bollocks that their haul was 200k....

Quote: He's a Billionaire. Why shouldn't he wear nice expensive jewellery?

Just because you can afford to buy something expensive, doesn't mean you deserve to get mugged for it.

What should he do? Only wear it indoors? Maybe he should log on to Scoobynet and post up a "What Watch" thread?

If you buy an expensive car, do you then deserve to have it knicked?
Of course he has the right to wear such stuff if he wants to, but it does make him more likely to be attacked.

Yup IMHO he deserved it Can't stand the guy, same ilk as that silmy get Peter Stringfellow (are they brothers).

Just need Button to come and say something to rub salt DEEP into those wounds and really make this pile o $hite think.

It seems rumours about the quantity of jewelry Bernie was wearing at the time of this attack were greatly exaggerated:

Quote:
And Ecclestone insists the robbery was pointless, as he never carries much cash or pricey jewellery, adding, "They won't be going far on what they took off us... I never carry much money or expensive jewellery. Most of Fabiana's stuff was just personal from Brazil and not worth much." Ecclestone kicked unconscious in 'stupid and uncalled for' mugging
I think I'm with Yahoo News' headline-writer here - if they beat an obviously defenceless guy up without even checking he had anything valuable on him first, they've totally failed even as muggers. It's people like this that forced-labour camps or chain-gangs should be started-up for
