Ah the joys of pocketed Pistons. Are the 33s susceptible to jumping the belt then Si? Or just due to the power yours is making?

When the last engine was stripped to change to cdb it had jumped a tooth.

Added new tensioner and obviously new belt but nothing like belt and braces

Reset belt, compression and leak down test and go from there.

How many Watts is that rain light, Simon?! Looks even brighter than a rear fog (which themselves are around 20x brighter than tail lights)!

Ta.

(But trust me to ask such a banal, 'insignificant' question. )

It was bought as a proper msa one with resistors supplied as they can blow the LEDs without. But threw the pack it came in which probably said the wattage. It was just getting dusk when I took the pic hence it looking like an after burner.

Out of curiosity Simon what made you aware of tbe timing belt slipping so quickly? Good Old fashioned senses or did tbe syvecs let you know?

I recall this issue on a RST I had years ago, the slight missing and rough idle took me bloody ages to work out, especially on the old dizzy and spark plug set up.

I was waiting until I had a proper video of the paddle system working in the Racecar to post about it but not sure when I will get chance to drive it next. Need to thank StewTFS Racing and Ian Mould for helping me install it.
It's a rubbish video but the only one I have at the moment, the camera is by the compressor hence the noise and being stationary you can only test up and down a couple of gears but it was enough to confirm it works for the moment. When driving the compressor will be drowned out by the engine and box noise anyway.
