Right so after the dyno on thursday night I set to getting the car ready for santapod on the friday and worked through the night sorting little jobs qnd tidying up.
At 5am i went to put the car on the trailer and in my tired state managed to remove half the exhaust getting it on the trailer doh.
Put it back on and set off at 6:30ish for pod.
Meeting up with dbrad and cj on route.
Arrive and unload the car and it starts raining doh.
It eventually clears up and so decide I might only get one run so cj and I fitted the drag tyres and I joined the queue.
The idea of going onthe friday test and tune day was that it is normally quiet and you get lots of runs so I could take my time and get used to the gearbox. Well with the weather that went out the window and I lined up for first run.
Launch wasnt bad, car set off like a stabbed rat and I wrestled with the wheel to try and keep it straight.
I think the change to second was fine and change to third okay but it verred right again midway through third iirc and panic changed and managed to unscrew the gearknob and down shift lol flatshift also appeared to be too sensitive and was cutting too early.
Luckily I wasnt at redline etc. lifted off and rolled across the line.
12.5@84mph. At that point I was so tired and not thinking straight I wanted to just load the car up and go home.
However I didnt and the queue was now mental, so I queued up and had another run.
I was told to do a burn out and did so and then got moaned at by another startline guy to go back as they were running a big power car on its own, so backed up and watched him run and then got to do another burnout and then lined up to run.
Launch again felt very good, I had adjusted flatshift switch after the last run and it was now better but still cutting to early and once with weight of my hand on the shifter it cut midgear (didnt do that at 4am stationary when setting it up lol).
On change to third I noticed I am driving straight but steering wheel is at 10oclock, lift the throttle and have to move wheel straight, back on throttle and the car pulls violently right, lift off and cruise the rest of the run.
Cars checked and nothing wrong can be found - had assumed tyre or driveshaft broken, trailing arm loose or something like that.
So decide to try again incase it was something else as everything looks good and nothing hanging off.
Doing the burn out its obvious the car appears rwd only and I wheel spin lots off the line with a squeel of tyres spinning.
Day over and stick the car on the trailer feeling really unhappy with the car.
However since catching up on sleep I am feeling a bit more positive about it.
All three 60ft were 1.6 which is going the right direction, I was running on 1.8 sec last year.
The engine feels so good and just pulls to the redline with more power the higher you rev it.
So plan is to fix the drivetrain issue before totb and also a few other small jobs.

So this weekend I traveled to Elvington airfield to compete as part of the subaru 22b team at ten of the best..
The intention was to use the Saturday test day to get used to the gearbox and give the car a shake down but not risk breaking it before the event on the Sunday..
weekend wasn't without drama's lol.
first run out and only one fuel pump was working, syvecs fuel pressure trip saving the engine from lunching itself as it drove normally until on boost.
Took a while to find the issue, spade connector pulled off the back of the fuse box for one of the pumps, was possibly the guy checking the car over to meet safety regs as he was insistent on checking the battery thats mounted right up behind the dash was secure.
Ran the whole day on the toyo r888's as was saving the drag tyres for the event on the sunday and just wanted to get used to the gearbox and shake the car down without risking breaking it.. low 10 second run I think by the end of the day which I was v pleased with.
Sunday morning and I filled the tank with race fuel for the first time and the drag tyres were fitted.. I had an educated guess at the racefuel map and then did a run and check datalogs and altered the map repeatedly for most of the day, slowly getting more used to the gearbox and quicker.. eventually managing a 9.82sec pass.
Massive thanks to everyone that helped out with pushing the car to the line, or swapping wheels, encouragement etc etc..
Now hooked big time and eager to run the car again and add more boost and nos

Yes. They painted the whole car originally so you would imagine they could have matched it.
Wont be going there again. They tried twice to get it right and failed.
