There is always a conflict of space for fuel system and ventilation/cooling of it and exhaust and airflow under the car. I think its fair to say the rear bumper is currently an air brake.
Simple holes in the rear bumper would resolve that however moving exhaust and not getting near fuel system and keeping the fuel system cool and ventilated would be difficult with a functioning diffuser and flatfloor.
Thats more really required for track work which I dont really intend doing in the near future anyway, I have a large rear wing to fit at some point for handling events and will make a front splitter to match but first event is looking like marham 30-130mph so just need the rear bumper to not be an air brake for that
The side exit exhausts were good in the sense that I could have flatfloored and diffusered then but then the side exit exhausts would need tubbing up into the floor for that to be effective. I am not one for just fitting a diffuser without trying to fully consider as many aspects of the car it will effect.

Work really well.

Alternative is a slimer one in centre of yours and keep current one too.

Oval onces seem to work better than round

Last time the car was on the dyno it showed signs that head gaskets might be marginal.. so as always with this car rather than sitting and thinking about it or risking that there might be a gasket issue and doing more damage... I dropped the car off at TFS racing and Stew removed the engine..
Leaving me with an empty engine bay to clean

I was concerned it might be block related having pushed the engine further than I had previously and with the block only being pinned..
Block is fine and all pinning still in place and deck still flat, but decided it was CDB time.. so another block was shipped to Drew for closed decking like this one

With Marham 30-130 being the next time I was intending using the car in anger we kept the short engine built up so it could be put back together quickly if required..
in the mean time Mahle have agreed to sponsor the new engine and have supplied pistons as sponsorship.. which I cant moan about
With Marham postponed I decided to definitely go ahead with CDB engine and so the previous bottom end Stew has now stripped ready to reuse rods and crank etc
I seem to be taking up a fair bit of space in his engine build room lol

You can't go with drag times for power its the MPH you go by.

FWIW 143mph is around 650bhp

What are the odds of you being at Santa pod on the 24th Si?

Awfully tempted to drive all the way up there just to see this beast run

About time I updated this.
Had not planned to do more to the car this year other than drive it on the new box and gt30s.

Plans are meant for changing?!

Engine pulled for cdb insert - all built back up and waiting on parts* before refitting, thanks to Smg and tfs racing.
* dailey engineering drysump another change of plan thanks to Mattys group buy, can't wait to get my hands on the piece of art

Also bought a syvecs s8 at the start of the year as twin widebands, twin egt, extra inputs all would be very nice

John Stevenson troubled again for a loom - wish I had the time to do my own but John does too good a job

New bonnet, boot, sideskirts all awaiting collection from bodyshop.

Itching to get back out in it.
