The short motor will fit fine, just a case of swapping over the heads etc from your current engine.

Yes it will fit, just transfer your cylinder heads, etc over.

What else would i need to buy? New head gasket, Oil pump? How easy would this be for a garage to fit??

Pair of head gaskets, the oil pump is still fitted to the short motor, so is the modine and the sump so they should be fine.

Easy job for a garage as long as they are used to Subarus.

So the only thing i will need is the head gaskets?

What thickness gaskets will be required?

I don't think either of those, you need the 1.6mm thick ones.

The engine is now provisionally sold however !

I will let you know if buyer drops out for any reason.
