Yes, they come with black carpet.

So is your spelling... Seriously though, you reckon the leather is bad in a spec d yet have no clue about them. Before commenting do some research.

As Stu says, changing the interior is a piece of ****.

That leather is horrid in a spec-d, i know that much, now pick your bottom lip up off the floor, and back on topic for the o/p.

Nice car either way mate.

Hi all

This car was our demo car when it was new.
It is a UK Sti and not a Spec D.
Before it arrived we ordered a full Spec C interior including door cards and carpets from Japan to get rid of the blue interior, black looks much better in the Crystal Grey STis.

The carbon surround on the dash is part of a full dash kit we used to import.
The standard Brembos were painted silver instead of the OE gold as the gold didn't really go with the crystal grey paintwork. We even had black Brembo logos made up the same size as the original ones to put on! You have no idea how picky my boss (who owned the car) is!! I call it OCD!!!

When we had it it was mapped by Andy Forrest and had our full de-cat Revolution exhaust system.

Oh and 53WRX, the badge is a really old Revolution badge that we used to supply with the lower front grilles we did for the Hawkeyes, we don't do those anymore!!

Edited to say, the wing mirrors were painted black to match the black wrapped roof it had when we owned it. The guy we sold it to wanted it removed before he took the car.

Thanks

Keith

Blimey Keith I wouldn't have recognised it as your old project scoob !

Badge definitely looks better on a lip than a grille

You got any Summit gear on your new project yet ?

Should have kept the vinyl roof and the S202

Hi

Looking at those pics, the car did look good with that spoiler on.

When the car was up for sale a lot of the parts were taken off and sold separately. The spoiler was actually fitted to a brand new, de-locked boot lid so the whole lot was swapped over. I think we still have the old bootlid somewhere, probably being used to keep stock on!
The black roof was left on but the guy who bought it from Glenn insisted that it be removed as he didn't like it.
On the 08 Sti we had a few of the summit braces fitted but the car has been sold now, we are in the process of getting a new demo car, watch this space!

Not been on for a bit, a little update.

I've done a few things with the car and keeping it running and looking sweet.

I got it like this:

I've added a front splitter, new bluetooth/ipod headunit with variable colours so I've matched it into the colours of dials etc and boost problem sorted, it's running perfectly now, just touched 34k, not bad for a Dec 05 Hawk!

A few before and after shots from about a month ago when there was a crazy amount of bugs about and this was after a 30 mile round trip to mum and dads:

Next plan is to get a front fog light air intake like this one:

cheers

Few pics of my car from scoobfest this weekend, I'll get the rest up of the other cars in a while.

And why I had to paint my bottom part of bumper black, like the splitter, paint was flaking off so we had to do something as a temporary measure anyway:

Great looking car! You could go for the plastidip route on the bottom lip, that's non permanent and hides the flakes a bit.

Just an update after Simon from JGM was over few months ago and remapped the scoob.

It's now running switchable maps, one standard, other with throttle blip, flat floor shifting and launch control.

She has 362bhp and 420 lbft torque (which is about 568NM torque).
Delighted with it, cant beat going through the city centre with throttle blip on

Here's a graph attached of the remap.

Got a few goods 'coming from santa' for Christmas too, oil temperature/pressure and turbo gauges and the ATI defi style pod.

Thanks chaps, I have it running as I like for now and a good while (Thanks to Simon again, he's a legend) so hopefully work on some cosmetics into the summer.

I like the xxr 527's. Does anyone know if they will fit a car without coilovers? I read somewhere that the 18 x 8.75 will fit with no or minimal arch work even with just eibachs fittted.

Great car with low miles too. The interior is fab, miles better than the dodgy leather in my spec D which you slide around everywhere on.

Really, thats interesting Jake. I'd had thought that yours from the RB320 would had been really good.
After me not driving the scoobe for a few months and now back in it again, I really notice the front seats are horrendous and thats after running round in my golf Tdi and the seats in that aren't even remotely sporty either.
The seats I had in my STI 8 a few years ago I never had any complaints about them though.

Yeah I think they made them for bigger people lol there's a distinct lack of hugging from the seats.
