What a brilliant day!!! Without doubt a triumph for Mikey!!
Great to meet all the Derby lot although due to us (I mean mikee ) being late we didn't get a chance to meet everyone before setting off on Charlie Whiskey's brilliant route!
Great to meet Neil (Nobster) and his cool family , KevS and Lozza (but where did you go Lozza?? - didn't see you again once we got to Gunthorpe )
Be nice to have regular Derby get togethers now there seems to be a few more of us! what do you think guys??
Miss*Big*Bore - Thanks for the compliment - next time I'll show you how my car should really be driven

Well what can I say...... Perfect. I think that says it all.
It was the first time I'd took the missis and my nipper out to a meet and thanks to it being such a superb meet they'll be coming to many more. However I'm not sure whether this is such a good thing cos it meant I had to drive like a ***** when a convoy of Evo's came past our convoy on the way home.
P.S. I was getting a bit jelous cos my sons motor (pictured below) was turning more heads than mine
Thanks again,
Dannyboy.

Yep, superb effort - well done Mikey! Looking forward to seeing how much we raised. An amazing turnout, loads of really nice people (as always), lots of names-to-faces
Hate to put a small dampener on things, but there were three crashes (that I know of) today - I'm ashamed to say I was one of them Lift off oversteer anyone? Basically went into a very open corner too fast, lifted off a bit and touched the brakes (what a muppet thing to do ), caught the resulting tail-slide, until the rear left found some gravel at the edge of the road and it immediately swapped ends, straight into a wire fence on the other side of the road. Needs a new front bumper, PIAAs, headlamp washers, resprayed bonnet, new wing, repolished sides, ... However I gather at least one other was more serious - was John hurt anyone? Won't say more on here as it's not my place to.
Just a salutory reminder to folks... don't think it'll never happen to you
That said, otherwise it was a fantastic day and a triumph of organising! Well done Mikey. Chris (CW) sorry I didn't do your route, but I think you'll understand why
Cheers
Richard

It was a great day Mikey and Ame - thanks alot!
We came up not knowing anyone and had made loads of friends to wave at now Great drive up from Toddington, loved the 60 miles section across country even though we were leading our group and got lost in 2 miles - personally I blame Chris Anyway, somehow we got to the pub before all the others and had a great day! Thanks to all we met for making us feel so welcome...
Would have done Charlie Whiskey's routes - but the journey up from S'ton and the Cross Country had me heading straight for the pub!
Hope no-one was seriously hurt, take it easy out there guys...
Next destination for a Big One?!
Jen (and Chris)
Edited 'cos I can't spell!

I would just like to say on behalf of the Coventry area guys a very big Thankyou for organising a fantastic day.
I would also like to thank all the Coventry area guys of the 27 car conyoy for keeping a low profile (if you can keep a 27 car conyoy as a low profile) and the speed within the limits on the way there. Everyone was well behaved.
Andymcc cheers for sorting out the maps m8, nice one.
On the way home that was a different matter . Loads of fun
Cheers

Tonka,
I've had a look through the garage , I used to have a spare set of two pots but I must have thrown them.
Don't pay dear for any repairs as there should be loads of people on here who have two pot calipers spare.
Most people will tell you that four pots won't fit behind the McRae's speedline alloys but they will, I've seen it done.
This may be the way to go, keep an eye out in the for sale section!
Edited to add.
Tonka, your car was purchased new at Speeds Subaru dealers in Nottingham the owner traded it in for a new Scoob at Lucas of Mansfield main dealers. I purchased it from Lucas of Mansfield and sold it to Matlock Ford in Derbyshire when I traded it in. Matlock had a third party buyer for the car so I don't know who took it off them. It should have two previos private owners on the log book.
