your mad Your daily power is my target figure (time will tell how long this lasts) are you still pleased with going the 2.35 route, i planned on going for a 2.5 to keep costs down a little but in the end decided to go with the 2.35.

You do realise there is a fortune more to spend than just the engine and personally I would not pay out for that engine.

Stevebt - So its going to Paul...good stuff! You best make it quick then as sso is round the corner....and hands off my Sunoco barrells at Zen And don't forget the ntk lambda sensor!

F1 CJE - lol!.....Paul likes the 1.5.....but I just cannot handle it on the roads.....my pockets that is! Now if I gave my car to Stevebt...he would probably rip the cal switch **** off!!

Re am I happy with the 2.35??....yes indeed. I wanted something tried and tested - it just keeps pulling and pulling....Personally and at this stage it's right for me.

Jag has asked me to post a video I took of him from inside my own car on Saturday, not sure if Scoobynet allows embedded youtube videos, but here's a try!

YouTube - JP4's WR1 flying by at the end

Cams are Lateral custom profile ones which was specifically suited to my requirements. My everyday usage tends to be on the lowest boost setting of 1.3(still 478hp on dastek) and yes I am very happy with the way the car drives....no stalling at traffic lights etc. Paul listened to my desired requirements and gave me what I wanted.

I'm going for a CDB 2.1, as I can't afford to pump too much money in to it to be honest, and aim for 500 with Dave's 321V which I should be getting. Chy has my CDB block at the moment and is cleaning it up for me....he did mention a 2.2, but I haven't spoke to him yet, it was via Dave when he dropped the block off for me. I presume it will be a 2.5 crank, and slightly bored out.

How does it switch injectors?

See you at SSO

I thought so, but when a 2.1 was mentioned, he suggested a 2.2 over a 2.1 as if they were different?!

Maybe that's what he mean't then! I think he probably will have mean't that to be honest, as he actually said 2.2 over 2.1.

Dicko - Speak to Chy and ask him exactly what he thinks is best and reasons behind it. I asked a lot of questions before, during and after. Find out if there is any reboring required (doubt it) etc....Ask for the advantages and limitations so you know for the future.

Dave G - I shall deal with you at SSO for that last "bit" pmsl ...cheers pal!

Lee - Thanks for the kind words. You may remember a couple of our PM exchanges last year...been a long time coming indeed. I am over the moon and back and over again! Its one thing making big power but achieving a good quarter at the Pod with me as a driver is even more satisfying!

Credit and big shout to Paul, my mapper @ Zen Performance for putting the time and efforts in kick-starting of 2 projects thread both on here and 22b.com . I personally was reluctant to post on a Pre Build Project Thread as I wanted to acomplish both the build, power and testing before presenting it out as we are doing now.

I can't wait to see any of you guys in the projects section go up the strip in your machines (in person of course)

Another proper sleeper mission accomplished. Congrats!

Gd man Omar - looking forward to seeing the pics mate and the end results both on rollers and quarter mile.

Did you get your fabrication on the i/c sorted in the end? I've been speaking to a local fabricator on my i/c from throttle bod to fmic, and we've come up with an idea which he has already started on today.

We're positive it will work and be a bit different - a lil like my build! As I've found on mine, if the welding has been polished down, hairline cracks will start forming as you up the boosty! Will post up pics of the completed pipe in next couple of days.

Thanks Phil.

Only watched 1 vid?? You must watch all mate....the "ending" is a curtain raiser with some good "commentary" from a well known individual!!

It began as a sleeper......it remains as a sleeper! Think I am probably the one crazy dude to retain air con in a 600+!!!....But I personally think its great!

Hopefully my build and having achieved 10s at Santa Pod will give other new age owners confident that it is possible to have a nice road car which can be brutal on the drag strip.

Just finished watching the rest now

Even more special I think doing it with a WR1 though

I remember reading about a heavily modified WR1 built for a owner in Malta never actually saw it in Malta though because I've been there since that feature.

But I did see a white Classic Type R in a museum. It was built for hillclimbs and track work I think.
