I happened to be at Crossroads in Shipston on Sat as my Spec B had a little electrical issue, so, while they interrogated the car with a laptop, I was handed the keys to the saloon that they had put on the road the previous afternoon.
Have to say I loved it. I like that it is understated - but agree that a spoiler would be good. My first thought was to loose the badges on the back, so when I came back from my spin in it, the guys started to take them off!!!
I never really warmed to the hatch, but I really liked the saloon - and it drove really well.....i'm seriously tempted as my spec b leggy tourer needs a change - if I can get a dog cage in the back of the saloon with the seats down, and an Apple Mac Pro Box in the boot, its a serious contender!!!! - with no big engine in the legacy now, and the 3.6 outback as ugly as, well an ugly thing, I need a change of tact if i;m to stay with the make I love.

Hope they have improved the paint or at least the thickness of it. If it is anything like the Hatch watch your rear doors or get some flaps but even that didn't help!

i carnt make my mind up on it, There is bits i real like and bits i hate. With the right wheels and spoiler i think it would look much better. Hate to say it but the new evo is much nicer.

I love it too, but it needs the USA/JAP version boot spoiler on.
It's just like when the EVO 6 came out, all and sundry hated it at first but now it's the greatest car ever made £4£.
