Update for you all -

'Entry's will close 30th sept. All pre paid entry's will get conformation by e-mail along with there number for the event,, this will get the driver into the event but all others will pay, we will take entry's on the day from Scooby's but they will have to pay to get in the admission price for the day will be £10 and kids are free'

I am also sorting some basic rules, but you will need to bring your licence for sign on unless you have raced in a Straightliners event this year.

Right I have discussed classes etc with Trevor and we both agree this is fun event and we should not tie people down to absolute classes or rules. So handling classes will follow a similar theme to the Grudgement series -

Standard class - standard (ish) cars using road normal road tyres and no more than basic mods (remap, handling mods)

Modified - larger turbos, stripped interiors and road legal track rubber all allowed

Pro - Anothing goes, slicks allowed

Drag - Anything goes, drag tyres etc, fully stripped cars

For spectators -

As above it's just £10 entry for a full bore day of Subaru action, other than Ten of the Best this is the only opportunity to see this many high powered Subarus in one place. After looking at the entry list there will be well over 10 500 bhp + cars, a good few 600+ that will see 10 second 1/4s and 2 or 3 700+ with the Lateral Banana and Mr Andy Forrest is building a car as we speak ! I have it on very good authority there will be another drag car built especially to debut at this event also !

The one km top speed run is guarentteed to see some cars break the 170mph barrier too.

It's not all about big power though, the handling will competitive to say the least with the cars we have confirmed to date.

You don't want to miss this one !

Will you be taking entries on the day for other marques? I have a sprint on the saturday (oct 2nd) and no offence but without wanting to tempt fate I don't really want to splash out on something in case something goes wrong, i was intending to pay on the day....more interested in the handling tbh than the drag strip.

Some good news, Scoobyclinic have pulled out all the stops and arranged for a total of 10 of their own/customer cars to attend the event ! Great effort I am sure you will agree in terms of support of this event. And to think this nearly didn't happen this year and it now looks like we could have 60+ cars !

Thanks for the support Kev/Clinic and some of their customers.

Won't most people be doing both?

I will be as I've never done anything like this before so want to give it a bash.

dunno, Ive already done 3 rounds this year, just going to really limit the number of runs and some will be fighting it out for overall series winner.

Will have a couple of drag runs but more interested in the handling.

Sure it will be fine mate as the strip will be running too. TOTB was fine with more cars. Think there will be a good few sticking to one or the other though.
