Nah, put it back to standard, properly !

Brakes are fine for everyday with proper discs and pads, springs are STi ones and great, the gauges in Tom's budget would just be pretty lights and therefore a waste of budget

* Airbox / green cotton filter
* OEM DV
* Replace any aged cooling components, header tank, rad, pipes, thermostat etc
* Fresh Fuel Pump
* ESL live map
* 2nd cat delete
* Headers
* Uprated service items, plugs, oil, fluids
* EBC Yellow pads on standard callipers
* New Engine mounts (c.£45ea.)

Then leave it the **** alone, or ask for proper help before you change anything that involves AFR, cooling etc

Handling we can do another day

got other stuff to buy first gasket sets,RGM oil pump,all new hoses,heads skimmed,water pump,fuel pump the list goes on oh and the small fact of getting someone to put the puzzle together

Tom, just do it yourself. We wont steer you wrong.

Take pics of everything before and after you take it off. Keep a note of the order you remove items. Keep all hardware bagged and labeled.

Puit it all back in the reverse order. Easy

I would love to do it myself but my diy skills are not that great always have nuts & bolts left over,not good if your putting a motor back together

Tom, if you bag every fastener you remove and put them in a tray in the order you removed them is basically impossible to mess up.
You don't even have to build the short motor. Just bolt the heads up and chuck the timing belt on.
Then just the ancillaries go back the same as they come off.

I'd do it for you but am just too busy at the mo.
