I was out last night and saw a few, couldn't really conscentrate (sorry about sp but my brain is fried) as I had the kids and dogs with me so I wll take another look skyward tonight

You need to be looking SW

They track from NE to SW, but move very fast.

they cover a 180 degree arc, so can be anywhere overhead

Just sit in a reclining chair facing SW, and they will come over the top of

you and light up the sky

If you try to spot them from there start point, you,ll miss them

That must be why we missed them then. It was explained that the "radiant" was to the north east! How disappointing.

That's correct, they originate in the NE, but travel SW, and cover the

distance in a second or do, so if you are looking NE, chances are you will miss them.

Only saw one last night and its very cloudy now. (looks like its like it for the rest of the week )


I'll keep looking up to the 23rd, and then its next year,

or the Leonids later on in the year
