The Emergency Dentist on the NHS ..... what is all this rubbish paying £120 private when you can get it pulled out for £40 on the NHS ..... just turn up at the Emergency Clinic, they are all over, in hospitals, etc.

Aye, as Pete said, there are plenty of emergency dentists J4CKO. Sod waiting 5 weeks for having a tooth pulled, maybe if it were to be saved but if I was in your situation I'd be ringing around and getting the bugger pulled asap.

Get it pulled

And get it done on the NHS and you'll not get stung once more.
Do you wear dentures Pete?

I wish I'd seen this the first time round. I had a filling which carried on aching after it was filled, followed by a corner of the tooth falling off, tooth 6 lower right on the linked image. Now the side of the gum regularly swells and requires piercing to get the fluid out.

Funnily enough, the dentist who filled that tooth also didn't last long at the surgery. It made me wonder if they had got rid of him. I've not been back in two years since it was done due to being left in pain. A week of Ibuprofen and Voltarol normally sorts it out, if not, I don't sleep.

I took so CoCodamol earlier and though I expect they have worn off I think it has calmed down a bit, but pain killers shouldn't be long term, especially CoCodamol, will make some phonecalls in the morning, want it sorting over the next week, its easy to forget it when it isnt causing any discomfort but the minute it comes back it comes into focus.

Andi, I would be wondering why, that would mean taking them every single day, you really need to be finding out what is causing you pain and get the root cause sorted, these things are seriously addictive, I generally avoid them but this is pretty bad and the others dont really touch it.
