Heads have been built / ported / machined by my mate who has been porting and running a engineering shop for over 10years, the block has been machined and prepared by Lateral, I'll be assembling the short motor / long engine myself under the supervision of my mate who built my heads, everything else on the car will be done by myself bar the mapping which will be done by Paul at zen

Some pics of the heavily ported heads, supertech valves lapped in, valve seats 3 angle cut, JUN valve springs and retainers fitted and all shimmed up to suit the piper 276 cams....

Have a spare CDB in the stores and some nice heads, I was thinking about it for the type R but will leave that as it is for now.

Nice thread Omar..

How come you have started from scratch again after building the last 2.1stroker?? Which incidently has just completed its first full trackday and didnt miss a beat!! with just the addition of coilovers, whiteline bars, links and ALK and a front brake change to Ksports.

Glad to hear it's gone to a good home and im very surprised to hear that the same gearbox is still holding up! How did it perform on track compared to your RA? I did spend around £5k on the engine build so you should never have any problems engine wise even on track as it was built for abuse I guess Enginetuner did a fine job of building the car Is it still on Martyn's map?

After selling the car I went over to a RX7 and then a Soarer, but they were no match to the Type R you now own so I felt the need to build another but this time doing as much of the work myself, it's abit boring handing your money over to someone and letting them build your car for you...So I thought I'd give it ago myself

Any recent pics of the car or videos of it on track?

Long block is now finally assembled I'll get some pics up during the week of the assembly process, in the meantime thought I'd post a pic up of the wheels that I collected from Ruislip tyres a few weeks back
