there is a compensation in the dyno dynamics for the temperatures.

The ambient temp in the cell was 21 degrees but somehow the intake temp was showing less than that - normally they are around 8 degrees higher.

as clear as mud.... although glad a second pair of eyes who know what they are talking about think the graphs are ok - not that I don't trust the guys who did it they more than know their stuff.

My next step is to save for a boost controller to level that boost drop off, and get that bhp up a little more.

you dont need a boost controller - it needs remapping to do that

Lots of power to be gained from getting the fuel mixture right there too as it is running pretty rich

Yeah they said it was running rich although that was not a bad thing..better rich than lean, I guess each tuner has there own method and style we are all human after all - I prefer to put my socks on first then my trousers were as others put their trousers on then socks, end result is the same.

sorry i guess what I was trying to say is I have been recommended a boost controller - each tuner would recommend things differently. dynamix obviously likes remapping and thinks thats the way i need to go first.

I couldnt care whether it was me or any of the other tuners on here that did it but remapping is the only way to do it right. Slapping a boost controller on and whacking the boost up til it goes bang is a painful lesson.

There is so much more to getting power, reliability, economy and safety than turning the boost up.

ok thanks my original question about standard bhp has been more than answered the car is there or there about given its age, tyre pressure, temps etc.

How I get a little more out of it is down to £ I guess so only time will tell.

Cheers for all the info guys.

Single decat d/p to replace the OEM dual-cat 2-part item, Walbro fuel pump, new 7 heatrange plugs, EcuTek remap of existing ECU = c.270-280bhp and similar torque and great drivability. Should come to around 800+ quid (plus any fitting charges, if not fitting the hardware yourself).

Also it was done in 3rd gear, a 4th gear run will give a slightly higher power reading.

Get the AFR's sorted and it will run much harder. Leaner is meaner and running that rich on such little boost is just robbing power and your wallet!
