I have Cydia & installous though never synced the apps with Itunes. do i need to download something at present that sends the apps to itunes? before i upgrade.

Yea mate u need to download appsync from cydia. Make sure you get the one that represents what OS your using. Once that is installed sync with iTunes. If you have not done it before the sync could take a while. If you get stuck let me know and I'll talk you through it

 

Appsync for 3.1 is already installed.

when i go to itunes and say sysn apps - its says 36 apps will be deleted form the iphone?

is there somewhere i can configure app sync from?

Also in instulious, under settings i have iTunes Sysn which is on..but not sure what usename \ password i need to put in just under it?

 

Is this a new iTunes account or new phone on iTunes.

 

new iphone on computer. I have just authorised the Itunes computer using my apple ID..

it is now backing up the iphone, been going on for a while so fingers crossed

 

so i have authorised the PC with itunes, connect the phone backup completes.

when i tell it to sync apps, it says you applications will be deleted from the iphone?

This phone has never synced with itunes before.

how do i know if the cydia stuff is in itunes like the sbs setting etc..?

my apps are now in itunes, about to update to 4.0.1

 

they do not get transfered to itunes. once you update to 4.0.1 you will need to jailbreak again and reinstall sbsetting etc. Make sure u also install appsync for OS 4.x then transfer everything from itunes.

 

when in cydia got a message i am runing out of diskspace after the upgrade? 16Gb 3gs

 

What is your available disk space?
