Yes i agree with you that most people want the vredestein ultrac sesanta but the main reason i started this thread was i was looking to purchase tyres cheaper than i could get them on the high street so to speak,my local tyre fitter is doin the falken fk452 fully fitted in 215/40/17 size for £74 all in at the moment,which to me is a very good price for a decent tyre,but was wanting to try and get a group buy together so that it not only benefits the buyer but also the seller,and although the vredestein might be the tyre of choice for alot of people it is also quite an expensive tyre for most and at the moment when everyone is watching where their hard earned money is going thought it might be better to stick to a slightly cheaper but none the less good decent tyre

yip totally agree with u nick but i can get the vredestein ultrac sesanta from camskill for 87 which aint that dear compared to some ,

but its a group buy so will c how this develops

 

vreddys are not available from camskill at the mo in the common sizes

 

camskill say there due in at the end of the month,

im keeping my options open and am in no hurry to get tyres(alloys getting done next month)

but i do like a bargain lol

 

so is anyone willing to sort a group buy then???

Ok just received email from camskill and due to their very tight margins dont offer any discounts
never mind i'll keep emailing other companies to try and get something sorted out,isn't there anyone one on here who is in the tyre business that would be interested??

i would be interested but it takes alot of prep its not an off the cuff thing , it would be a group buy on one make of tyres only . then another make on a seperate group buy if needed , you couldnt do differnt makes all in the same one . it would exclude , track tyres etc unless big demand ,

i will hopefully be able to get my hnds on sessantas in the next 2-3 weeks fingers crossed ,but untill then i have none .

 

OK M444GY Great,but would it be possible to do a group buy on a cheaper mid range tyre like a TOYO T1R Or FALKEN FK452???
as the main reason i wanted to try and get this group buy together was to offer people the option of a cheaper alternative to the sessanta??

the falken 452 would be the better bet mate imo as im setting up a direct account with falken in the next few weeks

 

i am watching this thread waiting for the final price compared to the amount needed to be sold. i am intrested but remember these prices wont include fitting/balancing for most so be sure to know the price for fitting locally as well, i reckon most fitters will want £50-£60 on a set of 4

 

i charge £40 for fitting 4 tyres and balance which is about the going rate , obviously i will survey the pricing before i give a final price but you have to remember camskils prices are cheap because they bulk buy by the thousand and get different rates to normal shops . not by alot but , leave it with me and ill see what i can do

 

i wont need fitting but will need a delivery price on whatever tyres r in the group buy
