I entered my BHP into lets torque calculator and it came up with these figures, if your quick enough on the gear changes I think those times could be bettered?? Your best off looking at the old pages for the 30-130mph days at marham as they have had many cars run there and its all documneted on which cars are the quickest.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 570
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1380
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 419.67
0 - 60 (Secs) : 2.93
0 - 100 (Secs) : 6.86
60 - 100 (Secs) : 3.92
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.36
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 128.74
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 10.96
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 133.22

Dont think ya car would do rs4 top end ste ....

As for bad tyres, Tyres was perfect the reason for 1,2,3 spinning was pure mad power 525 ft trq at 4600 rpm is enough to destroy 5 drive shafts in 2 weeks.

It's not hard to "spin-up" a 500+ bhp classic IMHO, it's NOT spinning the wheels that'll get the results...

Mine can barely unstick it's R888's, but that's how I like it, my pal has a 2.5 Type-R that will demolish mine in the sprint, but won't like doing 8000 rpm @ 156 mph.

This is what im stating i know its not hard the hard part is stopping them spinning dunx the results come from the power, May it be a graph or what the car states the power is. This is fine but get it to stick and stay stuck this is where the out of the box cars come into it and can do it for 100k miles with out having 6 drive shafts 3 boxes and 3 re builds. Been there done that..

To the OP
(having taken classics running decent power to 150mph + against most of what you list)
The rule of thumb is -
The subaru will out accelerate most of it - it will get there quicker.
Once there at a big speed it is not so happy.
The powerful german stuff in the real world, once it catches up, is far better at holding top end speed and maintaining it for longer periods of time.
(A Merc which we drove on the autobahn towards Passau sat at 250-280kph for kilometers on end, no problem - there is no way you would want to do that in a subaru)

Again very crude rule of thumb - subaru about useable torque that throws you up to a high speed and back again (A/B road)

German stuff more about bhp which counts more at the top end. (Autobahn)

Thats it in the real world

Bang on steve. If i had 30k for a car it would have to be a cossie hawkeye 430bhp a rs4 414bhp or a used m3 csl.

Or mod a classic with 30k and sell for 8k lololol

Its not about figure's its more about what setup you have.

There is just NO WAY a hybrid td04 turbo being 320bhp'ish would destroy a 911 turbo! Even when my car was say 450bhp I would of thought it was a push.

I only have a standard 02 STi PPP (approx 300/300) and have tested it against a few quick cars to see...

E60 M5 estate- obviously not as quick but surprisingly not that much slower (up to 120mph, he got about 2 or 3 car lengths away)

E46 M3 coupe- Honestly, we were about the same. I was a tad dissapointed as I expected him to be quicker. I couldn't pass him but he couldn't get away either. Stale mate. Below 3 figs my scooby seemed to have the edge.

2003 JDM 350Z with breathing mods- STi was quicker and pulled away in every gear, slowly but surely, 4 runs all from about 50-130. He refused to believe the scooby was 100% standard lol..

All done in safe conditions btw

Yes thanks... during some Auto Testing last year against my modified shopping car.

Straight lines are for poofs ... but some poof's are harder than others!

The 'M' driver I went up against could not believe how slow his car really was in comparison. The chat at the end of the runway was quite funny, even he laughed (I think he was crying tbh).
