...and we're not paying approx £20k for our digital cameras. But if there was a problem with it I bet Dixons would just replace it.

Why do we put up with cr*p service in this country - if dealers behaved like this in the US they'd be out of business in a week.

To get back to thread sort of,
Use adams in Ayelsbury, they do seem to be a little expensive, but most dealers of every manufacture charge about 60+vat for labour. But Ive always had a courtesy car, legacy, Justy, New WRX, always had friendly and polite service, it'snot too far from MK either.

Best service: Merc with my CLK, I call up tell it needs a service, they come and get it from work and bring it back before the end of the day. Superb.

I've used Anthony Betts a couple of times, and had a courtesy car both times - though the second time was an L-reg Astra! Couldn't believe the mpg on it though . Anyway, as you say, you need to book it in well in advance, but when the Scoob suddenly started dropping out of 5th, they took it in three days later, gave me a courtesy car, fixed the problem, sorted out the warranty with Warranty Direct and had it finished by 3pm. Sounds fair enough to me. And you get 10% off services (labour included) if you're an SIDC member.

Welch's (near Cambridge) were the best though, despite the occasional Justy, which was a bit of a laugh . Mainly had a 2.5l Legacy or a Forester - no complaints there. Live too far away now though .

Never had a courtesy car from my local dealers (Beechdale in Nottingham) but have never yet asked for one as I work less than 10 minutes walk away. However, they have (so far) always provided me with a lift to/from work free of charge. Car's always been ready when I've asked for it as well.

When my clutch was being replaced Robinsons of Rochdale loaned me a New WRX with headlight conversion and prodrive spoiler. It had only done 1100 miles. I had it for 2 days.

Nice car......

My car MY99 Uk tubo, I can't complain
