Depends which way you swing

Yeah I thought on the pictures they not really a red colour. Well if you have an STI (Subaru that is!) then they will match the badges!

Is everyone happy? Has everyone paid up now? I will ask Ray how long he wants to keep this open.

Thanks all and email is back now if you require tracking numbers for the ones who haven't yet received theirs.

Chris I don't have a tracking number for you as you paid later. I only have ones from people who paid before the 30th March.

Why don't you just send Ray and e-mail and ask him.

Got mine this week. Jesus. They mark easily!!!!!!!! First one went on with the standard Subaru wheel brace – made a right old mess of the nut.

Ran to Halfords, got a new socket.... (Perfect fit) still marked quite badly!!!

These things will look terrible after the wheels have been on & off a couple of times. Try explaining “be careful” to your tyre place!

Wish I hadn't bothered now!

For sale: Set of short blacks. Only 2 nuts tried, rest never removed from packaging. Offers plus postage!

Yes. I don't want them. Make me an offer. I can get things sent from work for £5 by courier.

I wrote asking for a refund. Here is the reply.

Hi Westwood2006

Sorry to know the item was not fited perfect on your wheel.

It should be aware that coloured nuts should always use Hand tools with care only. And it takes just normal 19mm socket, its standard tools of a tool box should have.
Item we have sold over 400 sets local and non of them comes back with no problem and our company policy are not able to accept opened / used parts for refund/return.

As all item sold as, unless item is unopen and brand new in box which was bought mistakenly or wrong parts we supplied.
And sorry if there maybe not enough information in the product but sometimes it just hard to say for product that user got to use with care, etc things on the package.
We are not able to control it as those are not made by us, we just import and sell.

If you took the nuts to mechanic and its a common things of knowing how to install coloured nuts. Coloured nuts should remove with hand tools carefully and should not be taken out and on too many times obviously.
If you are regular racer and had to change wheels ususally, this may not be good for you. I am sorry on the issue but we are unable to give you the refund.
We will surely give you discount on next purchase.

Maybe you can keep it as spare, for someone else or resell purpose?

Kind regards,
RAY A

You should use some tape around them first dude electrical tape works best i find, there really for show not practical use and deffinatly not to BE given to a spanner monkey at kwik fit

Yeah I did consider using tape but at some point you are going to have to take the wheels off... and it would be difficult to get tape back on with the wheels in the way!

Given that these are purely cosmetic I think they are too much hassle.

So Racing nuts = not suitable for racing is seems Hope peoples wheels don't fall off!

I wouldn't take a wheel barrow to kwik fit!

For trackdays I would only use normal lug nuts & not these lightweight Alu/mix type ones, a bit soft especially under heat etc.

ps Guv what happened to your username!

I'm sorry but what do you expect for £36 delivered I bought these as once I get some new tyres they will be on for 2 years (avoiding punctures!) as common sense said to me, on god bet these mark easily.

You just gotta take care when putting them on and take them to a tyre place who takes care. Luckily I know a mate in the business.

Not sure what the Rays nuts are like but please do spend nearly £100 if you want.

Easy tiger. Are you having a pop at me for buying 36 quid wheel nuts? Riiiiiiiight.

So you sayin these are cheap tat? How much is “acceptable for wheel nuts”. Please enlighten me.

OK lesson learned.

Erm.... Note to self: Wheels on for 2 years = car not looked after properly. Avoid any cars this guy might sell in the future!! (Although judging by this post he does have a phenomenal sense of humour).

Who the f*ck is Ray anyway?
