In that case maybe a (sensible) turbo upgrade with a remap is your answer. That way your clutch, brakes and engine will be fine and not stressed! Tuners will tell you all sorts, they want your cash

Dont get sucked into bhp figures mate it can get costly and turn you away from the marque in dissapointment. Imprezas are A-B sprint cars, if you want big bhp buy a GTR

I quite fancy a GTR

what you say wmi starts raising money for the B.T.A.GTR charity and in about 10 years I can have one

A few little tweaks and I will have the handling perfect for my driving style which will then just leave the power side of things to be sorted, and just because I put a big turbo on doesn't mean it has to be used at it's maximum

every car ive built with big HP has become undriveable eventually. had a 205gti with an MI16 lump 280 bhp on throttle bodies once that used to change lanes violently it had that much torque steer. on top of that you couldnt get off the line unless youd got 5k revs on the dial. that was after 30k being spent on it over the yrs.

mind you its all good ****in fun

I tell you straight there have been times like today when I have to think twice and feel a little on edge.

Have you had the engine tested for compression/leak?. If the engine is ok, I would of thought pinks, walbro255, K&N filter, bigger turbo and a re-map would see you somewhere into the 400`s for about £2k + garage fee`s
