Afternoon all. I decided not go for a fmic and sticking to a top-mount so im selling my cut facelift bumper with p1 splitter, if anyone is interested. Its in 406 silver. I'll never go past 350bhp so i cant be bothered with messing round with fitting a fmic.

Before I bought my classic I was looking at these as I was getting quoted.
I'm assuming you are looking at the e46 model.
Comfort is great you just can't fault it, the interior is quality as well. They push a fair bit of power considering they aren't turboed (unless you are looking at the e90). You will get more miles to the gallon and on the motorway are probably the best choice.
But and it is a big but when something goes wrong make sure you have extra underwear.
My uncle had several BMWs and I remeber he took it in for a service and it had a cracked piston, The bill was over £1500 but because it was in warrenty he didn't have to pay. He talked me out of getting an AC Schnitzer. Lets just say they wipe the floor with most M3s. He moved away from them and is now running a Alpha Romeo GTV as his second car. I think he said it was mainly to do with the engine and the way it handles.
I might not own a BMW but my uncle did and I was so close to buying one where it was a matter of just being a few minutes late to view the car or call.
I'm actually glad he did talk me out of it. BeforeI bought my classic I remember saying to people (i'm very perticular lol) I don't wanna buy any car that if I'm at the lights and see a car pull up that I regret not getting that car. So when I didn't by the BMW I was trying to think of car that I could drive that if I saw the BMW I wouldn't regret it. I got my classic and plenty of BMWs have pulled up next to me, even to the point where a 325 tried racing me. There was no use I was gone and wasn't even pushing it lol. I don't regret getting my classic over the BMW.

ive got an 03 e46 330d msport wagon farlz my second one. i adore it nearly as much as the scoob. 20k never missed a beat. my pal bought a brand new 328i se in 1998. still drives it to this day on 246k, only thing gone wrong ever was the multifunction steering wheel. not much difference between the petrol and diesel performance wise until you chip the diesel then there much much faster. 50mpg vs 22.
never ever handle like your scoob tho....
