If you want me to plug my gear in sometime, give me a shout, not a problem.
Do you reckon it would make much difference?
When I bought the car it had an HKS induction kit on it which I swapped for a standard airbox with uprated panel filter but I don't think that would have caused the problem.
I've only got basic mods anyway Do-Luck panel filter, Blitz Nur Spec 3" system and the only cat is just after the turbo oh and a Blitz dump valve

if it was mapped for the HKS, it would aquire more air and mapped accordingly, standard air box would be doing less air, so imo yes it would, however the ecu is clever enough to generally sort things within reason, you more than likely need the MAF rescaling.

easy without the cat, maybe with, 3" reduces torque down the bottom end mind.
Well I only have the cat that is directly after the turbo in my exhaust system. and I'd rather have the mid range punch than the low down torque as I don't do many launches anyhow
I'd like 300bhp do you think that's a realistic target given my mods?
id say your close to that anyway mate as your not far off the pace of mine.

Im fairly certain thats a sports cat on yours so you should easily clear 300 probably nearer 320/330 what do you think mark.

ive got a 20g mint condition only 6 months old brought it from garage dku h knows its a very good turbo 380 pound to wmi member. just an offer if your going down 20g route
At least on the bright side my slight lack of power is made up by my youthful handsomeness and as I'm not passing as fast as everyone else I get seen by everyone
I think it needs looking at to determine what my potential power is and what I can hope to achieve

nooo dont do it, unless you go aftermarket ecu with antilag
This is my dilemma, my VF doesn't spool up till 3500rpm anyway so I thought an extra 500 wouldn't matter but the more I think about it the more I think it will make a massive difference

??
20g with the standard ECU is fine. There are gains to be had with aftermarket ECUs of course, but not necessary. Unless of course you want to run more than 1.55 bar without turning safety features off lol.
Newage STi's are a lot more responsive with big turbo than old classics due to the AVCS.
Also, the 20G turbo doesn't suffer from compressor surge like the standard vf35 and so comes on boost harder once it spools.
Lots more to say on the subject.. but honestly.. I'm on my phone and can't be bothered lol
