my mate has a car transporter if you need it shifting give me a shout and ill see if he can do me a favour. but seriously I would get a second opinion and make sure they haven't pulled a fast one with a **** poor repair.

It will fit... but one of the hangers won't fit. You would have to get the hanger toward the back rewelded in the right position for a classic.

if it was me i would have a chat with citizens advice/trading standards before it goes back to forresters. find out where you stand at getting it repaired somewhere else and giving forresters the repair bill. or see if you can get an independant report done and hand it to forresters along with a letter stateing what exactly is wrong with the car and u want them to put it right at no extra expense to yourself.

Over the years I've heard many stories about Forresters and having not met Ivan can't comment on him. However, i know you're keen to get it fixed and back on the road. I personally would seek legal advise, then if possible take it to another proper garage for the repair. I would not let that place touch my car again EVER.
