There's alot more to building a Time Attack car than just power. Yes it's a good place to start but it would still require an awful lot of work to make it competitive.

Stunning car this, nothing has been missed with the build.

Shame I never got a run in it.

Perhaps he's one of those Irish guys who knocks on your front door and asks if you want some tarmac putting down outside your home?

You're not actually a million miles away there!
He runs a company that takes care of road management. When you see the guys laying out cones, putting out traffic lights etc. you can blame him..

I heard that the ET graphics had been laced with lead. A certain "other" tuner had contimated them to keep the weight up.

Ah bollox!! Is that it? One previous owner, low mileage.

That's rubbish. I'd arranged for a back-street surgeon to remove them before this auction ended.

Sounds like a bargain for someone then albeit IMHO he'll struggle to find a buyer at £30k even though it's no doubt worth more than that, if you know what I mean

TX.

He isn't short of cash, he is a successful businessman who bought his wife a new Range Rover Sport only a week ago.

Yeah, that's the sad thing: it's worth every penny no doubt, BUT people don't generally want to pay 30k for a 2nd hand Rice Rocket.

That said....to the right buyer, this is a bargain and a car is worth what someone will pay for it at the end of the day!

The seller has by all accounts done this a few times before though so he either knows what to expect and obviously isn't that bothered.

my son drives a 600+ hp Scooby and it is used everyday for commuting to work going to the shops, even picking up his little nephews and neices,

its very drivable and trust me it gets used as the to55er in the audi r 8 found out after he and his bird had a laugh at him at the traffic lights (only up to 30 of cource) and the guy in the Roush mustang positivly withered and died when he tried it on,

Short race then: mine will do 30 in 1.2 secs (350bhp), pretty much any scooby will hit that increment in less than 2 if launched properly....some will even retain their gearboxes for a second go!

My 06 Hawkeye's at 382bhp/376lbft & feels FAST. I use it everyday with gusto! Not much keeps up although having only had it since Nov 09, I'm still enjoying the "learning", gradually feeding more power in on bends/roundabouts, feeling the car start to drift/break traction/correcting/re-applying throttle etc.

Having an extra 324bhp added to my already healthy 382bhp just seems so unimaginable & incredulous!

Will be putting £5 on the lotto tomorrow for a 2nd chance offer on it!
It didn't sell this morning according to ebay.

Dreams eh!
