help.ive got ripped off
KKK28 i'm sure Bluerigster has PM'd you....why not give him a call and sort it....and i would just like to say that Jon offered to help you out in the first place but you did not bother replying to his post....so even i assumed that you managed to get his sorted.
I have also bought items from Bluerigster and can say he is a top dude, and in all honesty slagging a top dude off in a place like scoobynet will get you no where.
Good luck with the new clutch.....out of curiosity did you buy the same again new? who fitted it and does it work?
Jon i think you can put those spanners away as the OP has already mentioned he has bought a new clutch.

We have spoken on the phone tonight and he is having a different pressure plate fitted tomorrow by a Subaru specialist garage. If this works I've offered to pay towards the cost of the new plate. But I'm still confused as to why the pressure plate tension would increase rather than decrease with use? It seems as though the clutch will not disengage even with full travel on the release fork, so looks as though there is an issue with the release bearing or pressure plate but I'll find out tomorrow.
i bought a clutch of blue register member.and the clutch dosnt fit my six speed box,he said it was out of his classic.and he was using a six speed in .it dosnt fitt, ive have been talkn to dennis at excedy just incase it was put in the the garage done something wrong. but it was install correctly the first time ive made them take out the clutch f or the third time,i feel cheated.and very angery

I can vouch for Jon as being a honest tidy bloke , if he said its in working order when he sold it to you , thats what it is , I have had the box out from my rally car probably every 300 miles , and know what a pain it can be if something doesn't go right , its very easy for the thrust bearing to not to click into place , and it's box out again.
I would look at the person fitting it , as its sounds as though the problem is with them ,

the problem here is they are gunning the bolts up to tight and this is hat happens. the torque settings for the pressure plate are really low. do they know this. i made the same mistake before.
so its possible that your pressure plate is still fine.
come on give the guy a break he as gone of the rails and jump to conlucsion first but then he is only human and im sure we are all guilty of this now and again through are lifes theres an old saying which end with these words (cast the first stone )

TBH I think Jon has gone too far offering to repay the difference with the new pressure plate
I very much doubt there is anything wrong with Jon's clutch, that is of course unless some mickey mouse garage has buggerred it up - 3 times by the sounds of it

I agree we have all gone off the head at one point or another lol now lets see if KKK28 is a real man and can apoligise............ Ie a bacon sarnie and lots of grovelling on SN liky bum style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Judging by the messages his first language isn't English as half of them don't even make grammatical sense!
Or maybe just a bad school?
Anyway, agree with everyone's comments - sounds like the guy didn't have a clue what he needed to buy, let alone what he was actually buying, and then took it to a garage which had about the same idea.
I dealt with someone like this when I sold my original front seats, who never turned up, and then when I gave up and sold them a week later to someone else because the first guy refused to give out a mobile number, he bad mouthed me.
As stated by another user here, there is no excuse for such behaviour, and a public apology is in order...he's probably realised his cousin's brother's garage knows nada
