I got a Go-Pro helmet cam ages ago for £90. This little camera looks like it's just as good!

eggy - i think the unit just goes into standby mode so it just won't record if the memory cards full, you would need to wipe it everytime

Correct, it's not fancy enough to manually over-write existing data.

I use mine for the purpose mentioned by eggy790 and just plug it into my PC every morning at work (free electricity to recharge the battery ftw) and clear the files off. There's enough battery life and memory to record both ways of my journey. Difference is I cycle to work, not drive, and use it to record any idiots along my way lol.
Thanx for that eggy, might still get one though

Just confirm, i got a reply from the seller:

"I am
very glad to tell you that once the SD card is full, it just
stop
recording, hope this can help you"

Surely you can use a car charger with mini usb end on it and itll stay on as long as you want and record to the largest capacity you can find?

They are cheap as chips, mobilefun etc stock them with next day delivery.
Someone needs to try it first before everyone else jumps on and maybe buys the wrong one. Ive not got one of these yet (got an hd generic hong kong camcorder special at the mo but dont want to jeopardise it so will be buying one of these.)

Default I bought one last night.

The reasons behind me buying one is i want to have it in view when i go to work or pretty much anywhere as there are a lot of insurance scams going on lately where scammers pull in front of you and slam on, claiming off your insurance and claiming against you for whiplash,. therefore if it happened to me and i said i had caught it all on film and smile at the camera they might think twice about claiming off my insurance and instead i can claim off theirs,. obviusly i wont have the camera running at all times but may save my insurance its a thought......

The camera is no bigger than a 'mans thumb' so will hardly be a deterent on its own.

This is what your looking for

yeah lots of clips and holders, handy hole in casing too.

15 min vide taken in the raind with it velcroed to my rear view mirror.

Quality is really good. Hope youtube compression doesnt kill the quality.

Also the sound adjusts its own sensitivity it seems. So you always get decent sound level from it.

Just cutting it down in windows movie maker than ill get it up onto youtube.

So light it doesnt take much to stick it on.
so light it doesnt get too much vibration
so small it can be put anywhere.

So far really impressed!

Wonder if these can be rigged to all run off the same power trigger? If these were watch proof/resistant too i would buy a 100 of them lol.

Right. Here it is:

Chopped my 15min video down to a good 1.57min where i wasnt clearly speeding. Use tmpeg express to chop it and lost some quality in the conversion. also lost alot on youtube.

Ill take another daytime video tomorrow but keep it short and upload the source AVI file for people to see the true quality.

Looks good for £15. Was this one from ebay or ebuyer?

I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these now. My sister was sued by a con artist who fell in front of her car. That person then claimed my sis ran her over. And yup she was given compo.

Also I'm a bus driver and most buses are now fitted with cctv. Helping the company and insures determin who was to blame for a accident.

no idea how long it takes to charge or how long it can record for. i went for the one in the link above for the sd card.

No signs on the thing as far as i can tell if its charged or empty.

Had it charging off USB all day. recorded a good 20 min vid in one stretch so far, can do a more extensive test tomorrow when its light (and hopefully dry and sunny!)
