They should make smoking illegal.
Pubs are so much nicer now I don't have to breath in some ******* second hand smoke. But walking around town the other week, the number of times I walked through a smoke cloud, or had someone walking in front of me smoking away, and me smelling it. Disgusting.
Ban smoking altogether.
Ban children out of Pubs. I want a pint in piece.
Ban **** drivers off the road.
Ban Gay men from kissing in public.
Ban X-Factor, BB, and any other reality Sh!te programs.
Ban Lady Gaga from the Radio & Music channels.
Ban Cheese.

Probably more than Smokers I would think, think of all the call outs by Police/Ambulance crews/Firemen just about every night of the week in just about every town and city in the UK which is Alcohol related

As i said in the second post drink is next. Tabs bring in billions to the reasury each year. That money will have to be replaced.
Still the govt claim thousands of lives will be saved by this... presumably all these would be and indeed ex-smokers will now live forever.

I quit smoking 3 years ago, best thing I've ever done healthwise, although I still don't agree with the banning of things.
I don't miss smoking, but it doesn't bother me really if others are smoking. The only thing that does get me is the litter now produced outside shops, pubs etc due to *** ends.
But if we are going to ban things, then chewing gum should be banned as well - just take a look in your awverage town/city how much of it is on the floor it's grim.

I enjoy the occassional ciggie. Much less than I used to, I have to admit. But a Friday night, with mates and a glass of wine or two is when I really enjoy a smoke.
I have often thought of packing in and probably will, but would hope I would not become one of those people who have packed up and preach to everyone else to do the same My Mum is the worst offender
(It also will look at protecting children from second-hand smoke by promoting smoke-free homes and cars.) This comment concerns me. I, personally will not smoke in my car, never have, never will. But, I would never allow anyone to tell me what to do in my own home

But I do agree that chewing gum remains are often left to stick at places, which is wrong.

I dont like smoke or smoking, both my wife and myself lost our parents at a young age due to smoking related diseases, along with aunts, uncles etc etc. By the time our children were 4 and 6 they didnt have any grandparents. I feel they missed out big time as they were all wonderfull people.
However it is (or it was until New Labia got in ) a free country, so long as no one else has to breathe in second hand smoke they can smoke themselves to death (shame for their relatives and friends).

Getting totally drunk and incapable always used to be an offence and people were taken to court and fined for it in earlier times.
I don't see why the emergency services should have to take them off to A&E centres thus crowding them out for those who really deserve some emergency treatment.
I think that those who are out of their brains should get less of that and more of the type of treatment which is considerably less pleasant and has a penalty attached.

I just find the whole idea of banning things very strange. As a child, you may have been banned from eating too many sweets or from going round a particular friends house, or from getting that tattoo until your 18 etc.
But, forgive me if I am way off on this one, when I turned 18, in the eyes of the law I was recognized as an 'adult'. The dictionary defines this as; a fully developed person from maturity onward.
So, if I am recognized as an adult, pay adult taxes and fares and can be held accountable as an adult.........WHY THE **** CANT I MAKE MY OWN BLOODY DESCISIONS???

I'm slow on the take-up, so she might have to show me the correct way to do it several times.
