my mate has a renault like the one above and its been back to the dealer so many times for faults i couldnt count them on both hands and feet .

the best one was the drivers seat unbolting itself from the floor and tilting back while he was driving and then on a 3 hour drive back from leeds in december the drivers window fell into the door halfway through the journey !!

one word ... quality

My mates Megane 225 has been back to the dealer a fair few times too.

One time they did a recall for something and when he collected it he said it had no power at all any more like the turbo wasn't working. I told him to check the hoses on the turbo and sure enough they hadn't connected one of the pipes! Dealer quality control!

In fact he called me this morning to tell me it has gone back again. They didn't know exactly what the problem was yet but it was something to do with the alternator and it is going to be expensive!

It's a 54 plater, he's had it from new but it has never been driven hard and is low mileage as he uses the train to get to/from work!

Hi all,

is it me or has this frog fudge packer been comparing the New Megane to the New Sti?? waste of time really as no one here has one!

In ten years time an old classic will be going stronger than that thing!

how can he say the scooby range is ugly, at least its unique, where have i seen that megane before?? oh yeah its an astra! thats why its cheeper, Renault didnt need a designer!

the only reason conrod has been so difensive of his car is because he wish he hadn't bought it!

anyway this is between Megane and RS.....RS all the way its a beauty, and the sound of it

you're not wrong, the Impreza may not be the most aerodynamic or prettiest of cars - it's functional, proven and generally reliable.

The megane has been well and truely hit with the ol' ugly stick, I think it's hit every branch on it's way down the tree!

Yup they do. RB5 286 has had his a while now. Nicely modded too. Also Gangsta Smurf has had one since they got released.

Bring that Megane 250 upto a £20k, Litchfield JDM Hawkeye Spec C with 350bhp / 400ft/lb of torque at 3,400 rpm & 0 to 60 mph in 4 sec & you can go back & rethink that dumb-*** statement above.

nono... conrad sold me, 250bhp fwd, plastic as good as the sort found on the bed of a police cell, all round dynamic car and a big fat ****!! loudly playing... "sir mix alot- i like big buts and i cannot lie" on repeat.

surley you lot know that a flimzy, lardy, lego inspirerd, FWD french car is far better than any middle age, munter carrying ford ****, or any wrc winning AWD car???? Man you lot are so in the dark ages.... Remember tho... were all passionate about the same things so lets all meet up and cuddle some time. Im off now to service my Yugo Cup edition and go race some more people that have far to much money than sense!!
