typical yanks. It pissres me off when settin up a pc/laptop and the language option is english u.s. I believe its english not u.s hence the name ENGLISH.

I'm probably wrong because America probably invented it. Because they invented everything, even the world.. Not to mention changing our spellings cos i read somewhere that we spell things wrong? Ah well they are obviously right.

What was the thread about again?

I have a jar of old pennies and some time back I put a pile of 240 next to a pound coin to show the kids how things had changed!

I was born in the sixties, so you'd probably left home by then to work with Elias Whitney's new-fangled cotton 'gin.

My mum always had a collection of silver "joeys" which she used to put in the Christmas Pudding. We always had to give them back though!

My mum put tanners in, we got to keep them.
My younger sister didn't like Chritmas pudding, so had to find a tanner hidden in her bowl of custard
