You've got loads there then Steve. We only had an inch or so last night. On the front garden which has been untouched it's only 7" now so only just more than what we had the week before Christmas. It's just started pelting it down again so due some more today and tomorrow.

Bad round Guildford. Our main roads untreated - I turned round before I got out of our village and even the buses have now stopped.
Thought that was supposed to be it now!

Haldon hill on the A380 was blocked by a lorry accident and then they closed it. Good few cars stuck there for quite a long time. Clear this morning anyway. We are only a few miles from there and had no snow at all?

Couple of roads closed round here this morning .... strangely quiet this evening .... weird?
Anyway, that's it's final swing - warm air coming over the country in the next 48 hours.
Saturday are forecasting heavy rain - which will coincide with the thaw - to produce, you've guessed it, FLOODS!!!!!!

Just had a lovely walk, four miles in the fresh air, clear skies, bit parky but not the utterly searing cold of minus 15, you cant feel relief until March is out of the way and the clocks hae changed, February is typically the coldest month, lets see what it brings eh !
Metch3eck is indeed fooked, cant understand it, it just looks like its been abandoned, no mention of problems just some error, it was weird last week displaying less and less for each day then its just a server error, every time the weather goes severe Metcheck disintegrates !
In January, you are kidding arent you ?

Wilts, nr Swindon coming down hard still. Thought it wasn't suppose to lay? :s I went out this morning and it was carnage, cars in hedges, upside down, smacked into each other
Turned back and had some more breakfast

This morning I was trying to get up to Powerstation in Tewkesbury (from Winchester area). Left a bit earlier than usual due to possibility of snow, but last night they were saying it wouldn't stick - might be some visible on the grass...
Just a bit slushy on the M4, got past Swindon and up the A419 onto the A417, snowing harder... Then it got thicker, and everything stopped. Stuck for 3 hours, with snow gradually settling between the cars. Eventually got to a roundabout and looped back in the direction of home, just got in a few minutes ago.
The gritters and snowploughs couldn't get through because they were stuck in traffic
