I recall the Zebra / Tiger stripes very well.
Myself and my father were the first to re-produce these as Ford were not making a stripe pack for this in the early days, in fact i think we actually made these for Ford at one point.....

Here are some of the old snaps i have of my dads cars.

The blue and silver Mk1 is at blackpool sprint running a BDG.

Here are a few of my old one (Baiken) for inspiration, not sure where she is now, the art work is taken from the character 'shishido Baiken' and artfully wrapped by shy-tot, quite a bit of work and time to put together from an A4 character to full size wrap but well worth it in the end of course IMO, as graphics are not to everyones taste;

Quick Q. - never really been into "excessive graphics", although the odd subtle graphic here and there imo is ok. but i have been toying with the idea of trying something that i have not actually seen done before, "flip paint graphics", so basically as the car passes you it would change colour!! this may not of been done for obvious reasons (too expensive, difficult, etc. etc) or maybe it has, i just dont know? ideally i would like to have them "flip" from silver to black as i have a silver hawkeye with black splitter, tints, and subtle graphics in black on the spoiler as well as a sun visor. does anyone have any info, pics on this as it is something that i would like to see. many thanks rob. lee.

I know what you mean Rob. My Uncle had a peugeot dimma (unsue of model) and this was painted as you have stated. The only issue i see with it is two things, hence he sold it....
  • Insurance premiums, and the possibility of a colour match if you were to say prang the car.
  • Re-sale - its not something that is easily removed...

Hi Mark, I quite literally re-produce graphics and have done for many years, albeit a hobby the intention is to move into the main stream at some point, but with personal circumstances (2 kids of which 1 disabled) I spend a lot of time with him at the moment.

That a side I make a lot of one off graphics for anyone. I have the skills, ability & software to make almost anything onto self-adhesive vinyl. I use Signlab so I can send you or anyone a cad drawing of what the customer is looking for and manipulate accordingly to the customers requirements.

Simples

Rob
