To command that price it does have to have provenance by the way
And good luck keeping 'a few' bulls that are still in possession of their plums in your back garden without them going wild and destroying all before them

Appologies for the delay in replying....
very long day yesterday, and i went to bed shortly after posting...
and we have winners....
DPB & Saxo Boy...
Yes it was bottled water!!!!!
£1.95 for 500ml
took 5 kids to the local multiplex yesterday, and was relieved of £10 for 5 bottles of water ffs!!!
It would have been cheaper to give them a soft drink...
how they can justify that pricing strategy is beyoned me...

Yes, and no,
They justify it because there is only one alternative, not to purchase, and
given that most kids want a drink at some stage, they have you over a
barrell. They also dont alow you to bring your own sweets & drinks in
either.
Either way, it pushes the bounds of acceptability when it comes to profit margins & markup

That's elephants
If you're surprised at the price of water then you have obviously never been to an airport. In a Portugese supermarket, 3 x 5l drinking water for a €1. At Faro Airport €2 for 500ml
Now that's a markup!
