When I were a lad the buses were sent out in threes, running in close convoy, non-stop to help keep the main roads clear. That kind of thinking has diminished in modern Britain

I just don't get how this country makes it through anything other than a rainey day.... If it's not a regular occurance everythign spins in to chaos and the country stops!

Russia doesn't have this problem
Germany doesn't have this problem
Finland doesn't have this problem

Heavy snow.... Pah!

Just look around at the average Brit in the street though, sometimes I wonder how they manage to remember to breathe

It never ceases to amaze me how the Met Office can predict global temperature changes a few decades into the future to tenths of a degree centigrade and yet fail so spectacularly in predicting general weather conditions for the summer months in the UK 3 years on the trot.

Yes you are right, and the traffic used to keep moving unless there were impossibly sized drifts!

The problem is all the retards on the roads now. Incompetent and inept.

Can't wait for some real snow and to get out in the Hilux!

very frosty here in Surrey, and was snowing (lightly) a few mins ago - looks like the weather forecasters have got it right for a change!
