Secondly, I sold my Chimaera 500 in November because basically it cost way too much to keep on the road. Does anybody know just how reliable this machine is going to be? Also I live in Putney, how hard is it going to be and where can I service / maintain it?

Basically, can I expect gearbox re-builds etc? Would I be better off spending 12K on an un-modded STI IV with regards to reliability and running costs?

Don’t mean to offend, but I’m a newbie and need to ask these things?
Last point - Insurance - what can I expect to pay? 29Yrs No points - 4 yrs no cliams etc

Does it need any major work?

Does it have an uprated Crank at all? - ok you said all that was stated - just surprised that an engine rebuild would not have an uprated Crank

 

Doesn't need any work at all-Everything is brand new and uprated..
