And how do you know if you're getting a false positive? You need to run three synced machines running different antivirus, then you can be almost certain.

True. Better to be picking up false positives than missing real things though

Kaspersky trial installed, waiting for Barclays to verify my account and give me my free serial key

Definitely seams to use less resources then AVG, for some reason AVG has been really grinding my hard drive recently, this was having an adverse effect on any games that have heavy texture streaming, giving microstuttering in games like Arma 2.

I also had some issues with the computer not going to sleep/hibernate after being left alone for more then 5 mins, maybe because AVG was spazzing out and trying to paint a digital Mona Lisa all over my hard drive.

All seams to be fixed
Although i realised last night that this freebie 2009 kaspersky offer might just be because we are nearly in 2010, and the 2010 version is now available ?

Has anyone managed to either get a Kaspersky 2010 code from Barclays or get 2009 to work with Windows 7?

So it does. I was entering the activation code instead of the licence number.

Good call!

Just need a code now, currently working in trial mode.

Did you get yours straight away?
