Yeh, a bit excessive imho, but I guess they run things a bit differently over there!

Probably out the door if you don't sell - based on YOUR performance, not the car/model you're selling!!

maybe

Regardless of whether someone is a "Tyre Kicker", car dealers should just think its a daft question but say, "I am not sure what the exact length is, but I will find it out for you forthwith" as you see they are trying to sell to a potential customer and the idea is that the customer pays more for the car than the dealer bought it for, its called commerce, profit and ambivalnce, sloth, derision, contempt on the part of the salesman may put customers off, its not that simple as some buy anyway and accept crapness, some dealers are fantastic but the customer has no intention of buying but in reality the customer holds the cards and shouldnt be made to feel anything other than valued and welcome as guess what, they tell other people and may come back next time if it is a positive experience.

I worked in the motor trade, the boss was an obnoxious dick, he still made a lot of money despite telling people to f off and being unpleasant but now, instead of having to sell his business to the Gypsies to pay off his gambling debts he could be living the high life in retirement in Marbella gambling with the massive profits he made by being good rather than relying on people just needing a car quick and putting up with him.
