Its A 2004 box so still the shorter ratios, the newage has a PPG gearbox but that will be removed fairly soon for the hawkeye 6 speed.

Only had a problem going from 2nd to 3rd intially and missing the gear as the gate pattern is narrower than the five speed other than that loved every second of it

i read on some site that PPG was rated up to 600 torque it seems like a waist of money in that case if your going 500 plus

Cheers for that Banny, when's the 6spd going in the newage...you will have to do a comparison write up when it's in

Hoping to have it done fairly soon as I dont want to break the PPG lol, hoping to have the dccd on the hawkeye box controlled by the Solaris and will defo do a comparison write up

is that american horse power? theres a few people on this forum that broke there ppg and there only running around the 500ish

It seems to be the high torque that is breaking the boxes, not the horsepower the engines are producing.

the dogbox has a higher torque rating than the regular orientated box (both straight cut)....450 vs 600
