nah mate couldn't be arsed. car is now stripped. lost about 100KG taking out the interior, new coilover suspension, glass, door cards, etc. new linered engine with new heads, cams and massive turbo should see me into the 10s. (fingers, toes and other apendages crossed)

We had a health day at work were the medical department measured blood pressure, weighed you, noted your height, lung capacity and gave advice on smoking/drinking/drugs..etc.

I was clinically Obese.

I weighed in at 18 stone 10 pounds, which is less than I thought.

The fact that Im a 34 inch waist, and have been frequenting the gym since I was 14 years old, had no bearing on the final outcome.

However they did their calcs, I came out clinically obese..... I thought it was quite amusing.

 

funny , i was in the same position at the doctors a few weeks back. he looked at the bmi thingy and said my ideal height was 9ft 10.

 

A lot of the comments in this thread are akin to school playground taunts by bullies.

I'd like to bet the same people making these comments would be all to quick to jump on a thread condemning bullying though.

I take your point, but then again, what's my excuse? Currently I am fat. I'd like to see anyone make a reasonable case that it's because I am stupid.

There are also a lot of people at the well-educated, wealthy end of the scale who are...um...extravagently proportioned because they like the finer things in life and can afford them often and in large quantities. Of course, many of them are not actually fat simply because they can afford the liposuction to go with the lifestyle. (In some circles it's now normal for women to get back in shape after they've had a baby by having cosmetic surgery! Such is the pressure to be slim again immediately. As a society we have some really, really screwed up ideas and values).

Sorry, still only got a TMIC which I have had to fit to my hat. But it is so heavy that every time I go up a kerb the weight tips me backwards and I end up looking like a paraplegic dying fly

I unashamedly advocate that career criminals and those that cannot be rehabilitated are shot rather than kept locked up at the expense of tax payers, but I don't make the sort of comments you've described above. I think we accept too mant immigrants and I'd like to see the illegals packed off home but I wouldn't suggest drowning them.

However, in making your point against people who do think/say such things, you have suggested culling me (at least at my current weight, in 6 months the situation will probably be different again), amongst many others, someone who does not. That does not wash with me. Have you never heard the saying that two wrongs do not make a right? By all means make your points to the people who say the things that you don't agree with, (after all, I do all the time), but how about leaving the group of easy targets that you've chosen here and who are completely unrelated to your point, alone?

Otherwise, if we're going to recommend a group to be put down, my first choice is career criminals, violent offenders, rapists and child molesters. After that I am going for those who can't/can't be bothered to spell correctly, (especially those who continually mix up lose and loose), and those that use text speak on message boards.
