Suprised you feel it needs more brakes Steve?

I was out today and on the road i didnt feel i needed more stopping power. Maybe i could get them to fade if pushed hard around my local area but on the whole that would just be a pad change.
Dont get me wrong the stock brakes dont look special, but the chassis is so composed and well balanced i wouldnt want to upset it with huge daft discs/calipers etc.

Im guessing the stoppers are for show more than anything else?

I agree mate the brakes are VERY good, But they do look pants. Maybe once ive painted them and added a decal they will be better. The reason for a change? There sitting on lins scoob doing 000 miles a week. new discs,Pads and an RS mounting kit,

Ah i see.

Still wouldnt wanna do anything to upset that gorgeous balance. Lift-off oversteer is not normally a sensation i enjoy, especially in a FWD car. But the RS is so composed during oversteer its almost too easy to go round every roundabout with the **** out ha ha.

I lapped a certain roundabout over 10 times today just playing, couldnt leave it alone. The more i drive the car the more im soooo happy its not 4WD.

4WD would have absolutely killed it. Its so much more exciting to drive with its characteristics the way it is. I think 4WD would bring absolutely nothing to better the car as it is and i truely mean that. Anyone who thinks otherwise clearly hasnt driven the current RS.Steering feel is absolutely perfect and chassis feedback is very undiluted.

I still cant get it to torque steer, even on crap quality roads. The power delivery is mega linear with the torque staying on tap till the needle burys itself in the redline.

I absolutely love this car, and the more i drive it the more i think about building mine back up, selling it and getting another Ford.

Being back out there today, i realised why i love driving so much.
