Does this mean that you wull now pay back all that money I lent you? With the 78.9% interest on the original £50, you now owe me £4779.38

Self respect is worth more to your well being than a big bank balance mate. Hang in there... what life has planned for you next year if you keep working hard may amaze you!

How can you be on 3.17? That's less than minumum wage?

When I said about the weekly wage I was serious......so I don't really understand!

Nice one cob. You wear your heart on your sleeve in here somewhat and have been on the end of some pretty harsh treatment for it in the past, but fair play to you for keeping focused and getting that job and posting this thread must have felt sweet.

Employers don't have to pay you while you are "trained". In fact you can be in "full-time" training and never earn a dime while you try to prove your worth Something a friend of mine has just found out to his cost. Some sh1tter of an employer kept dangling a really nicely paid job in front of him, only after working for 6 months for no pay they took on another trainee instead

I'm an apprenctice engineer, so I am entitled to an apprentice wage like anybody else, i.e. £50 a week or more dependant on employer. I started the apprenticeship the day before my 25th birthday so fall into the 16-24 group.

Unless you have some material which I can use to demand more money

Erm... yes it did actually. Shame being, some of the real "haters" (apologies for the Americanism) were quick to jump down my throat and send me abuse but yet when something goes right through hard graft they are nowhere to be seen. Leslie picked up on this in a previous thread some months back I believe. Thats the real sweet feeling.
